1 And there cam one of the seven angels which had the seven vialles and talked with me sayinge vnto me: come I will shewe the the iudgment of the grett whore that sytteth apon many waters
1 E veio um dos sete anjos que tinham as sete taças e falou comigo, dizendo-me: Vem, mostrar-te-ei a condenação da grande prostituta que está assentada sobre muitas águas,
2 with whome have commytted fornicacion the kynges of the erth so that the inhabiters of the erth are droken with the wyne of her fornicacion.
2 com a qual se prostituíram os reis da terra; e os que habitam na terra se embebedaram com o vinho da sua prostituição.
3 And he caryed me a waye into the wildernes in the sprete. And I sawe a woman sytt apon a rose colored best full of names of blaphemie which had ten hornes.
3 E levou-me em espírito a um deserto, e vi uma mulher assentada sobre uma besta de cor escarlate, que estava cheia de nomes de blasfêmia e tinha sete cabeças e dez chifres.
4 And the woman was arayed in purple and rose color and decked with golde precious stone and pearles and had a cup of golde in her honde full of a hominacions and fylthynes of her fornycacion.
4 E a mulher estava vestida de púrpura e de escarlata, adornada com ouro, e pedras preciosas, e pérolas, e tinha na mão um cálice de ouro cheio das abominações e da imundícia da sua prostituição.
5 And in her forhed was a name wrytten a mistery gret Babylon the mother of whordome and abominacions of the erth.
5 E, na sua testa, estava escrito o nome: Mistério , a Grande Babilônia, a Mãe das Prostituições e Abominações da Terra .
6 And I sawe the wyfe dronke with the bloud of saynctes and with the bloud of the witnesses of Iesu. And when I sawe her I wondred with grett mervayle.
6 E vi que a mulher estava embriagada do sangue dos santos e do sangue das testemunhas de Jesus. E, vendo-a eu, maravilhei-me com grande admiração.
7 And the angell sayde vnto me: wherfore mervayllyst thou? I wyll shewe the ye mistery of the woman and of the best that berith her which hath seven heddes and ten hornes.
7 E o anjo me disse: Por que te admiras? Eu te direi o mistério da mulher e da besta que a traz, a qual tem sete cabeças e dez chifres.
8 The best that thou seest was and is not and shall ascende out of the bottomlesse pytt and shall goo into perdicion and they that dwell on the erth shall wondre (whose names are not wrytten in the boke of lyfe from ye begynnynge of the worlde) when they beholde the best that was and ys nott.
8 A besta que viste foi e já não é, e há de subir do abismo, e irá à perdição. E os que habitam na terra (cujos nomes não estão escritos no livro da vida, desde a fundação do mundo) se admirarão vendo a besta que era e já não é, mas que virá.
9 And here ys a mynde that hath wisdome. The seven heddes are seven mountaynes on which the woman sytteth:
9 Aqui há sentido, que tem sabedoria. As sete cabeças são sete montes, sobre os quais a mulher está assentada.
10 they are also seven kynges. Fyve are fallen and on ys and onother is not yet come. Whe he cometh he muste contynew a space.
10 E são também sete reis: cinco já caíram, e um existe; outro ainda não é vindo; e, quando vier, convém que dure um pouco de tempo.
11 And the beste that was and ys not is even the ayght and ys one of the seven and shall goo into destruccion.
11 E a besta, que era e já não é, é ela também o oitavo, e é dos sete, e vai à perdição.
12 And the ten hornes which thou seist are ten kynges which have receaved no kyngdome but shall receave power as kynges at one houre with the beest.
12 E os dez chifres que viste são dez reis, que ainda não receberam o reino, mas receberão o poder como reis por uma hora, juntamente com a besta.
13 These have one mynde and shall geve their power and strenghte vnto ye beste.
13 Estes têm um mesmo intento e entregarão o seu poder e autoridade à besta.
14 These shall fyght with the lambe and the lambe shall overcome them: For he is lorde of lordes and kynge of kynges: and they that are on hys syde are called and chosen and faythfull.
14 Estes combaterão contra o Cordeiro, e o Cordeiro os vencerá, porque é o Senhor dos senhores e o Rei dos reis; vencerão os que estão com ele, chamados, eleitos e fiéis.
15 And he sayde vnto me: the waters which thou sawest where the whore syttith are people and folke and nacions and tonges.
15 E disse-me: As águas que viste, onde se assenta a prostituta, são povos, e multidões, e nações, e línguas.
16 And the ten hornes which thou sawest apon the best are they that shall hate the whore and shall make her desolate and naked and shall eate their flesshe and burne her with fyre.
16 E os dez chifres que viste na besta são os que aborrecerão a prostituta, e a porão desolada e nua, e comerão a sua carne, e a queimarão no fogo.
17 For God hathe put in their hertes to fulfyll hys wyll and to do with one consent for to geve hir kyngdom vnto the beast vntill the wordes of God be fulfylled.
17 Porque Deus tem posto em seu coração que cumpram o seu intento, e tenham uma mesma ideia, e que deem à besta o seu reino, até que se cumpram as palavras de Deus.
18 And the woman which thou sawest ys that gret cyte which raigneth over the kynges of the erth.
18 E a mulher que viste é a grande cidade que reina sobre os reis da terra.
