1 İsa tekrar halka benzetmeler anlatmaya başladı. Şöyle dedi:
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “Göklerin Krallığı oğluna düğün yapan bir krala benzer.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Kral kölelerini gönderip düğüne davetli olanları çağırtmış. Ama gelmek istememişler.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Kral yine başka köleler gönderip onlara şöyle demiş: ‘Davetli olanlara şunu deyin: “İşte, ziyafetimi hazırladım, öküzlerimi ve besili danalarımı kestirdim. Artık her şey hazır, düğüne gelin.” ’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ama davetliler hiç kulak asmamışlar. Herkes kendi yoluna gitmiş. Birisi tarlasına, öbürü ticaretine dönmüş.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Geri kalanlar da kralın kölelerini yakalamış, aşağılamış ve öldürmüşler.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Kral öfkelenmiş. Ordularını gönderip o katilleri yok etmiş, şehirlerini de ateşe vermiş.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Sonra kölelerine şöyle demiş: ‘Düğün hazır, ama davetliler buna layık değil.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Bunun için şehrin ana yollarına çıkın. Orada kimi bulursanız onu düğüne çağırın.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Köleler yollara düşmüşler ve iyi kötü kimi buldularsa hepsini toplamışlar. Böylece düğün salonu misafirlerle dolmuş.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Kral misafirlerle görüşmek için içeri girdiğinde orada düğün elbisesi giymemiş olan birini görmüş.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Ona şöyle demiş: ‘Arkadaş, nasıl oldu da, düğün elbisesi giymeden buraya girdin?’ Adamın dili tutulmuş.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 O zaman kral, kölelerine şöyle demiş: ‘Onun ellerini, ayaklarını bağlayın ve onu dışarıya atın, karanlıkta kalsın.’ Orada insanlar ağlayacak ve dişlerini gıcırdatacaklar.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Çünkü davetliler çok, ama seçilenler az.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Sonra Ferisiler gidip İsaʼyı kendi sözleriyle tuzağa düşürmek için plan kurdular.

16 Kendi öğrencileriniHirodesçilerle birlikte İsaʼya yolladılar. Bu kişiler şöyle dediler: “Öğretmenimiz! Biliyoruz ki, sen dürüst bir adamsın ve Allahʼın yolunu doğru öğretiyorsun. Hiç taraf tutmuyorsun. İnsanlar arasında ayrım yapmıyorsun.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Peki, söyle bize, sen ne düşünüyorsun: Sezarʼa vergi ödemek Tevratʼa uygun mu, değil mi?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Ama İsa onların kötü niyetini fark edip şöyle dedi: “Sizi ikiyüzlüler sizi! Neden beni tuzağa düşürmeye çalışıyorsunuz?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?

19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 İsa onlara, “Burada kimin resmi var, kimin adı yazılı?” diye sordu.
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Oʼna, “Sezarʼın” dediler. Bunun üzerine İsa onlara şöyle dedi: “Öyleyse, Sezarʼın hakkını Sezarʼa verin, Allahʼın hakkını Allahʼa verin.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Bunu duyunca hayret ettiler ve İsaʼyı bırakıp gittiler.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Aynı gün Sadukiler İsaʼya geldi. Sadukiler “Ölümden diriliş diye bir şey yoktur” derler. İsaʼya şunu sordular:

24 “Öğretmenimiz! Musa bize şöyle buyurdu: ‘Bir adamın kardeşi ölürse ve karısını çocuğu olmadan dul bırakırsa, o adam ölen kardeşinin karısıyla evlensin ve kardeşine soy yetiştirsin.’
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Aramızda yedi kardeş vardı. Birincisi evlendi fakat çocuğu olmadan öldü. Karısını kardeşine bıraktı.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 İkincisine de, üçüncüsüne de öyle oldu. Ta yedincisine kadar hep aynı şey oldu.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Son olarak kadın da öldü.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Öyleyse, ölüler dirildiği zaman kadın bu yedi kardeşten hangisinin karısı olacak? Çünkü hepsi onunla evlenmişti.”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Ama İsa onlara şöyle cevap verdi: “Siz Kutsal Yazılarʼı ve Allahʼın gücünü bilmediğiniz için yanılıyorsunuz.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Çünkü ölüler dirildiği zaman ne karı alırlar, ne de kocaya giderler. Gökteki melekler gibi olurlar.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Ölülerin dirilişi hakkında Allahʼın ne söylediğini okumadınız mı? O şöyle der:
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‘Ben İbrahimʼin Allahı, İshakʼın Allahı ve Yakubʼun Allahıʼyım.’O, ölülerin Allahı değil, yaşayanların Allahıʼdır.”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 Halk bunu işitince, Oʼnun öğrettiklerine şaşırıp kaldı.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Ferisiler İsaʼnın Sadukileri susturduğunu işitince, İsaʼnın yanına toplandılar.
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 Aralarında bir Tevrat uzmanı vardı. O, İsaʼyı tuzağa düşürmek için kendisine şu soruyu sordu:

36 “Öğretmenimiz! Tevratʼta en önemli buyruk hangisidir?”

37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Birinci ve en önemli buyruk budur.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Ona benzeyen ikinci buyruk da şudur: ‘Komşunuzu kendinizi sevdiğiniz gibi sevin.’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Bütün Tevrat ve peygamberlerin yazdıkları bu iki buyruğa dayanır.”
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Ferisiler toplanmışken, İsa onlara şunu sordu:
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “Mesih hakkında ne düşünüyorsunuz? Sizce o kimin oğlu?” Oʼna, “Davud Oğlu” dediler.
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 İsa onlara şöyle dedi: “Peki, öyleyse, Davud Kutsal Ruh aracılığıyla ona nasıl ‘Efendim’ diyebilir? Çünkü şöyle der:
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 — ausente —
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Davud Mesihʼe ‘Efendim’ dediğine göre, Mesih nasıl Davudʼun oğlu olabilir?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Hiç kimse İsaʼya tek bir söz bile söyleyemedi. O günden sonra kimse Oʼna soru sormaya cesaret etmedi.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
