Yamâ yâk orowâk menduhuakmâ sot yakât torehenŋe neŋetâ bâlewuap me bia yakât âinohowi yakât yuwu sâmune nâŋgâŋet. Bulâŋanâk nâŋgân nâŋgânyeŋe pâroŋ sâmu Porom Lâpiohât nâŋgâŋetâ tâŋât otmu biwiyeŋe Kiristohâlen katbi. Yakât otmâ lohimbiŋe Porom Lâpio mepaem sot gotyeŋan katmai yakât torehenŋe yeŋe neŋetâ ki bâlewuap yakât topŋe nâŋgâm heŋgeŋguai. Yawu gârâmâ yeŋgâlen gâtŋe nombotŋaŋe Porom Lâpio yakât topŋe emelâk nâŋgâwin sâmaiŋe hâkyeŋe mepaemai. Hâkyeŋe mepaem bukulipyeŋaŋe Porom Lâpiohât nâŋgâm biwi yâhâp otmai ya yeŋgât ki nâŋgâmai. Yâhâ nombotŋe âlâŋeâmâ bukulipyeŋe yeŋgât biwiyeŋe gemap sâm nâŋgâyiŋgim lohotŋan otyiŋgimai.
1 Ora, no tocante às coisas sacrificadas aos ídolos, sabemos que todos temos ciência. A ciência incha, mas o amor edifica.
2 Lok âlâ me âlâŋe Anitâhât biwiŋan nâŋgân nâŋgân tatmap yakât topŋambâek nâŋgânomaihât dop âlâ ki tap. Yakât otmâ yu yakât topŋambâek naŋgain sâmai imbiâk sâmai.
2 Se alguém cuida saber alguma coisa, ainda não sabe como convém saber.
3 Yawu gârâmâ lok âlâ me âlâŋe Anitâhâlen biwiyeŋaŋe kepeimai yâhâmâ nâŋgâyiŋgimap.
3 Mas, se alguém ama a Deus, esse é conhecido dele.

4 Quanto, pois, ao comer das coisas sacrificadas aos ídolos, sabemos que o ídolo nada é no mundo, e que não há outro Deus, senão um só.

5 Pois, ainda que haja também alguns que se chamem deuses, quer no céu quer na terra {como há muitos deuses e muitos senhores},
6 Kutdânenŋe Kiristoŋe awoŋnenŋe Anitâhâlen kândiwahom âliwahap topŋe topŋe katmâ meteop. Yakât otmâ Kiristohâlenâk biwinenŋaŋe kepeim wâtŋan kinmâ Anitâhât tem lâuwaŋgim manmâ yâhânom.
6 todavia para nós há um só Deus, o Pai, de quem são todas as coisas e para quem nós vivemos; e um só Senhor, Jesus Cristo, pelo qual existem todas as coisas, e por ele nós também.
7 Yawu gârâmâ Porom Lâpiohât den yan yukât topŋe bukulipyeŋe nombotŋaŋe ki nâŋgâm heŋgeŋguai. Emelâk Porom Lâpio mepaem sot gotyeŋan katminiwi yakât nâŋgâm manmai. Yakât otmâ sâp yiwereŋe yuâmâ pâku lohimbiŋe Porom Lâpio mepaem sot gotyeŋan katmai yakât torehenŋe nene sâm biwi yâhâp otmai. Biwi yâhâp otmâ neŋetâ yaŋe biwiyeŋe mem gulip tuhumap.
7 Entretanto, nem em todos há esse conhecimento; pois alguns há que, acostumados até agora com o ídolo, comem como de coisas sacrificadas a um ídolo; e a sua consciência, sendo fraca, contamina-se.
8 Bulâŋanâk Porom Lâpio mepaem sot gotyeŋan katmai yakât torehenŋe nenom me ki nenom yakât Anitâŋe nâŋgâmu tâŋât otmap. Yakât otmâ Anitâŋe nenekmu bâlemap sâm ki nemain yamâ imbiâk otmain. Me Anitâŋe nenekmu ârândâŋ olâk sâm nemain ya gurâ yawuâk imbiâk otmain.
8 Não é, porém, a comida que nos há de recomendar a Deus; pois não somos piores se não comermos, nem melhores se comermos.
9 Yeŋe Porom Lâpiohât topŋe nâŋgâm heŋgeŋguai. Yawu gârâmâ bukulipyeŋaŋe yekmâ biwi yâhâp otmâ tosa memai sâm Porom Lâpiohât sot torehenŋe ya ki nenomai.
9 Mas, vede que essa liberdade vossa não venha a ser motivo de tropeço para os fracos.
10 Yakât yuwu sâmune nâŋgâŋet. Yeŋe nâŋgân nâŋgânyeŋe pâroŋ sâmu Porom Lâpiohât nâŋgâŋetâ tâŋât otmap. Yawu gârâmâ yeŋgâlen gâtŋe âlâ me âlâŋe pâku lohimbi yeŋgât opon kâmbukŋan yâhâ orowâk tatmâ sot nenomai. Orowâk tatmâ sot neŋetâ yan bukulipyeŋe âlâ me âlâŋe yekmâ “Porom Lâpiohât sot torehenŋe neŋetâ ki bâleap,” sâm biwi yâhâp otmâ yeŋgâlen torokatŋetâ orowâk nenomai.
10 Porque, se alguém te vir a ti, que tens ciência, reclinado à mesa em templo de ídolos, não será induzido, sendo a sua consciência fraca, a comer das coisas sacrificadas aos ídolos?
11 Yawu otmâ manŋetâ biwiyeŋe orotok sâmu Kiristo betgum tosa mem yaŋak hiliwahonomai. Yakât otmâ yuwu sâmune nâŋgâŋet. Kiristoŋe yen otmu bukulipyeŋe yeŋgât tosahât otmâ muop. Yawu gârâmâ yeŋe Porom Lâpiohât sot torehenŋe neŋetâ yekmâ bukulipyeŋaŋe biwi yâhâp kakŋan nem hiliwahonomai.
11 Pela tua ciência, pois, perece aquele que é fraco, o teu irmão por quem Cristo morreu.
12 Yawu gârâmâ hiliwahonomai yakât matŋe yeŋe tosa pato menomai.
12 Ora, pecando assim contra os irmãos, e ferindo-lhes a consciência quando fraca, pecais contra Cristo.
13 Yakât otmâ biwinaŋe yawu nâŋgâman. Bukulipne nombotŋaŋe Porom Lâpiohât nâŋgâm biwi yâhâp otmâ manmai. Yakât otmâ pâku lohimbiŋe Porom Lâpio mepaem sot gotyeŋan katmai ya yeŋgât senyeŋan nemune nekmâ yawuâk nem yan tosa memai sâm ya ki nembom.
13 Pelo que, se a comida fizer tropeçar a meu irmão, nunca mais comerei carne, para não servir de tropeço a meu irmão.
