1 Then I saw another portent in the heavens — a great and marvellous portent — seven angels with the seven last Curses; because with them the Wrath of God is ended.
1 Vi ainda, no céu, outro sinal, grande e maravilhoso: sete Anjos que tinham os sete últimos flagelos, porque por eles é que se deve consumar a ira de Deus.
2 Then I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mixed with fire; and, standing by this sea of glass, holding the harps of God, I saw those who had come victorious out of the conflict with the Beast and its image and the number that formed its name.
2 Vi também como que um mar transparente, irisado de fogo, e os vencedores, que haviam escapado à Fera, à sua imagem e ao número do seu nome, conservavam-se de pé sobre esse mar com as cítaras de Deus.
3 They are singing the song of Moses, the Servant of God, and the song of the Lamb — ‘Great and marvellous are thy deeds, O Lord, our God, the Almighty. Righteous and true are thy ways, Eternal King.
3 Cantavam o cântico de Moisés, o servo de Deus, e o cântico do Cordeiro, dizendo: Grandes e admiráveis são as tuas obras, Senhor Deus Dominador. Justos e verdadeiros são os teus caminhos, ó Rei das nações!
4 Who will not reverence and praise thy Name, O Lord? Thou alone art holy! All nations will come and worship before thee, for thy judgments have become manifest.’
4 Quem não temerá, Senhor, e não glorificará o teu nome? Só tu és santo e todas as nações virão prostrar-se diante de ti, porque se tornou manifesta a retidão dos teus juízos.
5 After this I saw that the inmost shrine of the Tabernacle of Revelation in Heaven was opened,
5 Depois disso, eu vi abrir-se no céu o templo que encerra o Tabernáculo do Testemunho.
6 and out of it came the seven angels with the seven Curses. They were adorned with precious stones, pure and bright, and had golden girdles round their breasts.
6 Os sete Anjos que tinham os sete flagelos saíram do templo, vestidos de linho puro e resplandecente, cingidos ao peito com cintos de ouro.
7 One of the four Creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls, filled with the Wrath of God who lives for ever and ever.
7 Um dos quatro Animais deu-lhes então sete taças de ouro, cheias da ira de Deus que vive pelos séculos dos séculos.
8 ‘The Temple was filled with smoke from the Glory’ and Majesty of God; and no one could enter the Temple, until the seven Curses inflicted by the seven angels were at an end.
8 Encheu-se o templo de fumaça provinda da glória de Deus e do seu poder. E ninguém podia entrar, enquanto não se consumassem os sete flagelos dos sete Anjos.
