1 Show me favour, O God, Show me favour, For, in thee, hath my soul sought refuge,—And, in the shadow of thy wings, will I seek refuge, Until the storm of ruin pass by.
1 Tem misericórdia de mim, ó Deus, tem misericórdia, pois em ti a minha alma se refugia; à sombra das tuas asas me abrigo, até que passem as calamidades.
2 I will cry unto God Most High, Unto GOD, who accomplisheth on my behalf:
2 Clamarei ao Deus Altíssimo, ao Deus que por mim tudo executa.
3 He will send out of heaven, that he may save me, He who is panting for me, hath reproached. [Selah.] God will send out his lovingkindness and his faithfulness.
3 Dos céus ele me envia o seu auxílio e me livra; cobre de vergonha os que procuram me destruir. Envia a sua misericórdia e a sua fidelidade.
4 My soul, is in the midst of lions, I lie down amidst flames, As for the sons of men, Their teeth, are spear and arrows, And, their tongue, is a sharp sword.
4 A minha alma está rodeada de leões, ávidos por devorar os filhos dos homens; lanças e flechas são os seus dentes, espada afiada é a língua deles.
5 Be exalted Above the Heavens, O God, Above all the earth, thy glory!
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus; e em toda a terra brilhe a tua glória.
6 A net, did they fix for my steps, My soul was bowed down,—They digged before me a pit, They fell into the midst thereof! [Selah.]
6 Armaram uma rede aos meus passos, a minha alma está abatida. Abriram uma cova diante de mim, mas eles mesmos caíram nela.
7 Fixed is my heart, O God, Fixed is my heart, I will sing, and touch the strings.
7 Firme está o meu coração, ó Deus, o meu coração está firme; cantarei e entoarei louvores.
8 Awake, mine honour, Awake, harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn;
8 Acorde, ó minha alma! Acordem, lira e harpa! Quero acordar o alvorecer.
9 I will thank thee, among the peoples, O My Lord, I will praise thee in song, among the races of men.
9 Eu te darei graças entre os povos; cantarei louvores a ti entre as nações.
10 For, great, unto the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, And, unto the skies, thy faithfulness.
10 Pois a tua misericórdia se eleva até os céus, e a tua fidelidade, até as nuvens.
11 Be exalted Above the heavens, O God, Above all the earth, thy glory!
11 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus; e em toda a terra brilhe a tua glória.
