1 In that hour came, the disciples unto Jesus, saying—Who then is, greatest, in the kingdom of the heavens?
1 Naquela mesma hora chegaram-se a Jesus os seus discípulos e perguntaram: Quem é o maior no reino do céu?
2 And, calling near a child, he set it in the midst of them,
2 E Jesus, chamando uma criancinha, colocou-a no meio deles,
3 and said—Verily, I say unto you, Except ye turn and become as the children, in nowise, shall ye enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
3 e disse: Na verdade eu vos digo que, se não vos converterdes e não vos tornardes como criancinhas, de modo algum entrareis no reino do céu.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this child, the same, is the greatest, in the kingdom of the heavens;
4 Portanto, todo aquele que se humilhar como esta criancinha, esse é o maior no reino do céu.
5 And, whosoever shall give welcome unto one such child as this, upon my name, unto me, giveth welcome.
5 E quem receber em meu nome uma criancinha, tal como esta, recebe a mim.
6 And, whosoever shall cause to stumble one of these little ones who believe in me, it profiteth him, that there be hung a large mill-stone about his neck, and he be sunk in the wide main of the sea.
6 Mas, quem ofender um destes pequeninos que creem em mim, seria melhor para ele que pendurasse ao pescoço uma pedra de moinho, e que se afogasse no fundo do mar.
7 Alas for the world! by reason of the causes of stumbling; for it is, necessary, that the causes of stumbling come,—nevertheless, alas for the man through whom the cause of stumbling cometh!
7 Ai do mundo, por causa das ofensas! Pois é necessário que venham ofensas; mas ai do homem por quem vem a ofensa!
8 But, if, thy hand or thy foot, be causing thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee: It is, seemly for thee, to enter into life, maimed or lame, rather than, having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the age-abiding fire.
8 Portanto, se a tua mão ou o teu pé te ofender, corta-o, e lança-o para longe de ti; é melhor para ti entrar na vida coxo ou aleijado, do que, tendo duas mãos ou dois pés, seres lançado no fogo eterno.
9 And, if, thine eye, causeth thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: It is, seemly, for thee, one-eyed, into life, to enter, rather than, having two eyes, to be cast into the fiery gehenna.
9 E, se o teu olho te ofender, arranca-o, e lança-o para longe de ti; é melhor para ti entrar na vida com um olho só, do que, tendo dois olhos, seres lançado no fogo do inferno.
10 Beware! do not despise one of these little ones; For I say unto you—that, their messengers in the heavens, do, continually, behold the face of my Father in the heavens.
10 Vede, não desprezeis a nenhum destes pequeninos, porque eu vos digo que os seus anjos no céu sempre veem a face de meu Pai que está no céu.

11 Portanto o Filho do homem veio salvar o que estava perdido.
12 How, to you, doth it seem? If a certain man come to have a hundred sheep and one from among them go astray, Will he not leave the ninety-nine upon the mountains, and going, seek the straying one?
12 O que vos parece? Se algum homem tiver cem ovelhas, e uma delas se desgarrar, ele não irá pelos montes, deixando as noventa e nove, em busca da que se desgarrou?
13 And, if it should be that he find it, Verily, I say unto you—He rejoiceth over it, more than over the ninety-nine that have not gone astray.
13 E, se porventura a encontra, na verdade eu vos digo que ele se regozijará mais com aquela ovelha, do que pelas noventa e nove que não se desgarraram.
14 Thus, there is no desire, in the presence of my Father who is in the heavens, that, one of these little ones, should be lost.
14 Assim também, não é a vontade de vosso Pai que está no céu, que se pereça um destes pequeninos.
15 But, if thy brother sin, withdraw, convince him, betwixt thee and him, alone,—If unto thee he hearken, thou hast gained thy brother;
15 Além disso, se teu irmão pecar contra ti, vai, e diz-lhe a sua culpa entre ti e ele somente; se ele te ouvir, ganhaste a teu irmão.
16 But, if he do not hearken, take with thee, yet one or two, that, at the mouth of two witnesses or three, every declaration, maybe established;
16 Se, porém, ele não te ouvir, então leva contigo mais um ou dois, para que pela boca de duas ou três testemunhas cada palavra seja confirmada.
17 But, if he hear them amiss, tell it to the assembly,—And, if, even the assembly, he hear amiss, Let him be unto thee, just as the man of the nations and the tax-collector.
17 E, se ele recusar ouvi-los, dize-o à igreja; mas se recusar ouvir a igreja, seja ele para ti como um homem gentio e um publicano.
18 Verily, I say unto you—Whatsoever things ye shall bind on the earth, shall be bound in heaven; and, whatsoever things ye shall loose on the earth, shall be loosed in heaven.
18 Na verdade eu vos digo: Tudo o que ligardes na terra será ligado no céu, e tudo o que desligardes na terra será desligado no céu.
19 Again, [verily] I say unto you—If two from among you shall agree upon the earth concerning any matter, whatsoever they shall ask, it shall be brought to pass for them, from my Father who is in the heavens;
19 Ainda eu vos digo que, se dois de vós concordarem na terra acerca de qualquer coisa que pedirem, isso lhes será feito por meu Pai que está no céu.
20 For, where there are two or three, gathered together into my name, there, am I, in their midst.
20 Porque, onde estiverem dois ou três reunidos em meu nome, ali estou eu no meio deles.
21 Then, coming near, Peter said [to him]—Lord! how many times, shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until, seven, times?
21 Então Pedro, aproximando-se dele, disse: Senhor, até quantas vezes o meu irmão pecará contra mim, e eu o perdoarei? Até sete vezes?
22 Jesus saith to him—I say not unto thee, unto, seven, times, but, until seventy times seven.
22 Jesus lhe disse: Eu não te digo que até sete vezes; mas até setenta vezes sete.
23 For this cause, hath the kingdom of the heavens become like unto a man, a king, who wished to settle an account with his servants;
23 Portanto, o reino do céu é semelhante a certo rei, que quis acertar contas com os seus servos.
24 And, when he, began, to settle, there was brought unto him a, certain, debtor, of a thousand talents;
24 E, começando a acertá-las, foi-lhe apresentado um que lhe devia dez mil talentos.
25 and, he, not having, wherewith to pay, the master ordered him to be sold, and the wife, and the children, and whatsoever he had,—and payment to be made.
25 Porém, não tendo ele com que pagar, ordenou seu senhor que fossem vendidos ele, e sua esposa e seus filhos, e tudo que ele tinha, e que o pagamento fosse feito.
26 The servant therefore, falling down, began to do homage unto him, saying—Have patience with me, and, all, will I pay thee.
26 Então o servo se prostrou, e o adorou, dizendo: Senhor, tem paciência comigo, e eu tudo te pagarei.
27 And, moved with compassion, the master of that servant released him, and, the loan, he, forgave, him.
27 Então, movido de compaixão, o senhor do servo soltou-o e perdoou-lhe a dívida.
28 But that servant, going out, found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him, a hundred denaries, and, laying hold of him, he began seizing him by the throat, saying, Pay! if anything thou owest.
28 Saindo, porém, este servo, encontrou um dos seus conservos, que lhe devia cem denários; e, lançando mão dele, tomou-o pela garganta, dizendo: Paga-me o que tu me deves.
29 His fellow servant, therefore, falling down, began beseeching him, saying, Have patience with me! And I will pay thee.
29 Então o seu conservo, caindo-lhe aos pés, pediu-lhe, dizendo: Tem paciência comigo, e eu te pagarei tudo.
30 He, however, would not, but went away and cast him into prison,—until he should pay what was owing.
30 Ele, porém, não quis; antes, lançou-o na prisão, até que pagasse a dívida.
31 His fellow-servants, therefore, seeing, the things that were done, were grieved exceedingly,—and went and made quite plain to their master all the things which had been done.
31 Vendo, pois, os seus conservos o que foi feito, entristeceram-se muito, e foram contar a seu senhor tudo o que foi feito.
32 Then, calling him near, his master saith unto him—O wicked servant! All that debt, forgave I thee, because thou didst beseech me.
32 Seu senhor então, chamando-o, disse-lhe: Servo perverso, perdoei-te toda aquela dívida, porque tu me suplicaste.
33 Was it not binding, upon thee also, to have mercy upon thy fellow-servant, as, I also, on thee, had mercy?
33 Não devias tu, igualmente, ter compaixão do teu conservo, como eu também tive misericórdia de ti?
34 And, provoked to anger, his master delivered him up to the torturers, until he should pay all that was owing.
34 E, indignado, o seu senhor o entregou aos atormentadores, até que ele pagasse tudo o que lhe devia.
35 Thus, my heavenly Father also, will do unto you, if ye forgive not each one his brother, from your hearts.
35 Assim também meu Pai celeste fará convosco, se de coração não perdoardes cada um as ofensas do seu irmão.
