1 Then called Jacob unto his sons,—and said—Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.
1 Depois, Jacó chamou os seus filhos e disse: — Ajuntem-se, e eu lhes farei saber o que vai acontecer com vocês nos dias que virão:
2 Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob,—And hearken unto Israel your father!
2 Reúnam-se e ouçam, filhos de Jacó; ouçam o que diz Israel, o pai de vocês.
3 Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength,—Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:
3 Rúben, você é o meu primogênito, minha força e as primícias do meu vigor, o mais excelente em dignidade e o mais excelente em poder.
4 Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father,—Then, wast thou profane—My marriage-bed, he mounted!
4 Impetuoso como a água, você não será o mais excelente, porque subiu ao leito de seu pai e o profanou; você profanou a minha cama.
5 Simeon and Levi, are brethren,—Instruments of violence, are their agreements:
5 Simeão e Levi são irmãos; as suas espadas são instrumentos de violência.
6 Into their circle, do not thou enter my soul! In their convocation, do not thou join mine honour! For in their anger, they slew brave men, And in their wantonness, they ham-strung oxen.
6 Que a minha alma não entre no conselho deles; que a minha glória não participe do seu agrupamento; porque no seu furor mataram homens, e na sua vontade perversa mutilaram touros.
7 Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel,—I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.
7 Maldito seja o seu furor, pois era forte; e maldita seja a sua ira, pois era intensa; eu os dividirei em Jacó e os espalharei em Israel.
8 Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes,—The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:
8 Judá, os seus irmãos o louvarão; a sua mão estará sobre o pescoço dos seus inimigos; os filhos de seu pai se inclinarão diante de você.
9 A lion’s whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped—hath crouched As a lion—or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?
9 Judá é um leãozinho; da presa você subiu, meu filho. Ele se agacha e se deita como leão e como leoa; quem o despertará?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the commander’s staff from between his feet,—Until that he come in as a Shiloh, And, his, be the obedience of the peoples:
10 O cetro não se afastará de Judá, nem o bastão sairá de entre os seus pés, até que venha Siló; e a ele obedecerão os povos.
11 Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass’s colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:
11 Ele amarrará o seu jumentinho à vide e o filho da sua jumenta, à videira mais excelente; lavará as suas roupas no vinho e a sua capa, em sangue de uvas.
12 Darker—his eyes, than wine,—Whiter—his teeth than milk!
12 Os seus olhos serão cintilantes de vinho, e os seus dentes serão brancos de leite.
13 Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down,—Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon Zidon.
13 Zebulom habitará na praia dos mares e servirá de porto para os navios, e a sua fronteira se estenderá até Sidom.
14 Issachar, an ass of strength,—couching between the pens;
14 Issacar é jumento de ossos fortes, deitado entre os rebanhos de ovelhas.
15 Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant,—So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
15 Viu que o repouso era bom e que a terra era deliciosa; baixou os ombros à carga e sujeitou-se ao trabalho escravo.
16 Dan, shall vindicate his people,—as one of the tribes of Israel;
16 Dã julgará o seu povo, como uma das tribos de Israel.
17 It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path,—That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards:—
17 Dã será uma serpente junto ao caminho, uma víbora junto à vereda, que morde o calcanhar do cavalo e faz o seu cavaleiro cair para trás.
18 For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!
18 A tua salvação espero, ó
19 Gad! a troop shall troop on him,—But, he, shall troop on the rear.
19 Gade será atacado por guerrilheiros, mas ele lhes atacará a retaguarda.
20 Out of Asher, fatness, is his food,—So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.
20 Aser, o seu pão será abundante e ele produzirá delícias reais.
21 Naphtali, is a slender hind,—That putteth forth antlers of beauty.
21 Naftali é uma gazela solta; ele fala palavras bonitas.
22 A fruitful bough, is Joseph, A fruitful bough over a fountain,—Branches creeping over a wall.

23 So they attack him and have shot,—So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.
23 Os flecheiros lhe dão amargura, atiram contra ele e o hostilizam.
24 But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands,—From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:
24 O seu arco, porém, permanece firme, e os seus braços são feitos ativos pelas mãos do Poderoso de Jacó, sim, pelo Pastor e pela Pedra de Israel,
25 From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath,—Blessings of breasts and womb:
25 pelo Deus de seu pai, que o ajudará, e pelo Todo-Poderoso, que o abençoará com bênçãos dos altos céus, com bênçãos das profundezas, com bênçãos dos seios e do ventre.
26 The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills,—They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.
26 As bênçãos de seu pai excederão as bênçãos de meus pais até o alto dos montes eternos; estejam elas sobre a cabeça de José e sobre o alto da cabeça do que foi distinguido entre seus irmãos.
27 Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.
27 Benjamim é lobo que despedaça; pela manhã devora a presa e à tarde reparte o despojo.
28 All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel,—And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.
28 São estas as doze tribos de Israel e isto é o que lhes falou seu pai quando os abençoou; a cada um deles abençoou segundo a bênção que lhe cabia.
29 Then commanded he them and said unto them—I, am about to be gathered unto my people, Bury me among my fathers,—within the cave, that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite:
29 Depois Jacó lhes ordenou, dizendo: — Vou ser reunido ao meu povo; sepultem-me junto de meus pais, na caverna que está no campo de Efrom, o heteu,
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan,—which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace:—
30 na caverna que está no campo de Macpela, em frente a Manre, na terra de Canaã, a qual Abraão comprou de Efrom com aquele campo, como propriedade para servir de sepultura.
31 There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife,—And there, buried I Leah:—
31 Ali eles sepultaram Abraão e Sara, sua mulher; ali eles sepultaram Isaque e Rebeca, sua mulher; e ali eu sepultei Lia.
32 buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.
32 O campo e a caverna que nele está foram comprados dos filhos de Hete.
33 So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch,—and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
33 Quando Jacó acabou de dar essas ordens a seus filhos, recolheu os pés na cama, expirou e foi reunido ao seu povo.
