1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
1 Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
2 Son of man Set thy face against Gog of the land of the Magog, Prince of Rosh Meshech and Tubal,- And prophesy concerning him,
2 Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto para Gogue, terra de Magogue, príncipe e chefe de Meseque e Tubal, e profetiza contra ele,
3 and thou shalt say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh,— Behold me! against thee O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
3 e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó Gogue, príncipe e chefe de Meseque e Tubal;
4 Therefore I will turn thee about, and will put hooks in thy jaws,—and bring thee forth and all thine army. Horses and horsemen Clothed with gorgeous attire, all of them, A mighty gathered host With shield and buckler handling swords, all of them:
4 e te farei voltar, e porei anzóis nos teus queixos, e te levarei a ti, com todo o teu exército, cavalos e cavaleiros, todos eles vestidos de armadura completa, uma grande companhia, com pavês e com escudo, manejando todos a espada;
5 Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them, All of them, with shield and helmet;
5 Pérsia, Cuche, e os de Pute com eles, todos com escudo e capacete;
6 Gomer and all her hordes, The house of Togarmah the remote men of the North and all his hordes, Many peoples with thee.
6 Gomer, e todas as suas tropas; a casa de Togarma no extremo norte, e todas as suas tropas; sim, muitos povos contigo.
7 Be ready, and show thyself ready, Thou and all thy gathered host who have gathered themselves unto thee,— And become thou for me a guard.
7 Prepara-te, sim, dispõe-te, tu e todas as tuas companhias que se reuniram a ti, e serve-lhes tu de guarda.
8 After many days, shalt thou muster thy forces, In the afterpart of the years, shalt thou enter Into the land of the remnant brought back from the sword Gathered from among many peoples, Upon the mountains of Israel which have been waste continually,— But the same! from among the peoples, hath been brought forth, And they shall dwell in security, all of them.
8 Depois de muitos dias serás visitado. Nos últimos anos virás à terra que é restaurada da guerra, e onde foi o povo congregado dentre muitos povos aos montes de Israel, que haviam estado desertos por longo tempo; mas aquela terra foi tirada dentre os povos, e todos os seus moradores estão agora seguros.
9 Then shalt thou come up, Like a storm, shalt thou enter, Like a cloud covering the land, shalt thou be,— Thou and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.
9 Então subirás, virás como uma tempestade, far-te-ás como uma nuvem para cobrir a terra, tu e todas as tuas tropas, e muitos povos contigo.
10 Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh,— So shall it be in that day, that thoughts will come up on thy heart.- And thou wilt devise a wicked device;
10 Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Acontecerá naquele dia que terás altivos projetos no teu coração, e maquinarás um mau desígnio.
11 and wilt say— I will go up over a land of hamlets, I will enter among them who are at rest dwelling securely,— All of them, dwelling without a wall, Who bars and doors, have none;
11 E dirás: Subirei contra a terra das aldeias não muradas; irei contra os que estão em repouso, que habitam seguros, habitando todos eles sem muro, e sem ferrolho nem portas;
12 To capture spoil. And take prey,- To bring back thy hand over desolate places at length inhabited And against a people gathered from among the nations, Getting herds and substance Dwelling upon the navel of the earth.
12 a fim de tomares o despojo, e de arrebatares a presa, e tornares a tua mão contra os lugares desertos que agora se acham habitados, e contra o povo que foi congregado dentre as nações, o qual adquiriu gado e bens, e habita no meio da terra.
13 Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all her young lions, will say to thee, To capture spoil, art thou coming? And to take prey, hast thou called together thy gathered host? To carry off silver and gold To take away herds and substance, To capture great spoil?
13 Sabá, e Dedã, e os mercadores de Társis, com todos os seus leões novos, te dirão: Vens tu para tomar o despojo? Ajuntaste o teu bando para arrebatar a presa, para levar a prata e o ouro, para tomar o gado e os bens, para saquear grande despojo?
14 Therefore prophesy, Son of man, and thou shalt say to Gog. Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Shall it not be in that day, because my people Israel are dwelling securely:, that thou wilt rouse thyself?
14 Portanto, profetiza, ó filho do homem, e dize a Gogue: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Acaso naquele dia, quando o meu povo Israel habitar seguro, não o saberás tu?
15 Therefore wilt thou come out of thy place. Out of the remote parts of the North, Thou and many peoples with thee,—Riding on horses all of them, A mighty gathered host. Yea a great army;
15 Virás, pois, do teu lugar, lá do extremo norte, tu e muitos povos contigo, montados todos a cavalo, uma grande companhia e um exército numeroso;
16 Therefore wilt thou come up, against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land,— In the afterpart of the days, shall it be. that I will suffer thee to enter upon my land, To the end the nations may know me, when I hallow myself in thee before their eyes O Gog!
16 e subirás contra o meu povo Israel, como uma nuvem, para cobrir a terra. Nos últimos dias hei de trazer-te contra a minha terra, para que as nações me conheçam a mim, quando eu tiver vindicado a minha santidade em ti, ó Gogue, diante dos seus olhos.
17 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Art thou, he of whom I spake in days aforetime by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who kept on prophesying in those days for years,—That thou shouldest be suffered to come against them?
17 Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Não és tu aquele de quem eu disse nos dias antigos, por intermédio de meus servos, os profetas de Israel, os quais naqueles dias profetizaram largos anos, que te traria contra eles?
18 So then shall it come to pass in that day, In the day when Gog entereth upon the soil of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, That mine indignation shall come up into my nostrils;
18 Naquele dia, porém, quando vier Gogue contra a terra de Israel, diz o Senhor Deus, a minha indignação subirá às minhas narinas.
19 Yea, in my jealousy, in the fire of mine outburst, have I spoken,- Surely in that day, shall there be a great trembling upon the soil of Israel:
19 Pois no meu zelo, no ardor da minha ira falei: Certamente naquele dia haverá um grande tremor na terra de Israel;
20 Then shall tremble before me The fishes of the sea, and The bird of the heavens and The wild beast of the field, and Every creeping thing that creepeth on the ground, and All the men who are on the face of the ground,— and The mountains, shall be torn asunder, and The steep places, shall sink down, and, Every wall, to the earth, shall be thrown.
20 de tal sorte que tremerão diante da minha face os peixes do mar, as aves do céu, os animais do campo, e todos os répteis que se arrastam sobre a terra, bem como todos os homens que estão sobre a face da terra; e os montes serão deitados abaixo, e os precipícios se desfarão, e todos os muros desabarão por terra.
21 Then will I call against him, every terror, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, the sword of every man against his brother, shall be;
21 E chamarei contra ele a espada sobre todos os meus montes, diz o Senhor Deus; a espada de cada um se voltará contra seu irmão.
22 Then will I contend with him by pestilence and by blood,- And an overflowing downpour and hail-stones fire and brimstone, will I rain Upon him, and Upon his hordes, and Upon the many peoples who are with him.
22 Contenderei com ele também por meio da peste e do sangue; farei chover sobre ele e as suas tropas, e sobre os muitos povos que estão com ele, uma chuva inundante, grandes pedras de saraiva, fogo e enxofre.
23 So will I Magnify myself and Hallow myself, and Make myself known. Before the eyes of many nations,—And they shall know that I, am Yahweh.
23 Assim eu me engrandecerei e me santificarei, e me darei a conhecer aos olhos de muitas nações; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.
