1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of El endureth continually.
1 Por que conta vantagem de seus crimes, grande guerreiro? Não sabe que o amor de Deus dura para sempre?
2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully.
2 O dia todo você trama destruição; sua língua mentirosa corta como navalha afiada.
3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
3 Ama o mal mais que o bem e fala mais mentiras que verdades. Interlúdio
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
4 Você gosta de destruir os outros com suas palavras, seu mentiroso!
5 El shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
5 Por isso, Deus o destruirá de uma vez por todas; ele o tirará de sua casa e o arrancará da terra dos vivos. Interlúdio
6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
6 Os justos verão isso e temerão; rirão de você e dirão:
7 Lo, this is the man that made not Elohim his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
7 “Vejam o que acontece aos poderosos guerreiros que não fazem de Deus sua fortaleza! Confiam em suas muitas riquezas e se refugiam em sua maldade”.
8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of Elohim: I trust in the mercy of Elohim for ever and ever.
8 Eu, porém, sou como a oliveira que floresce na casa de Deus; sempre confiarei no amor de Deus.
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
9 Eu te louvarei para sempre, ó Deus, por aquilo que fizeste. Confiarei em teu bom nome, na presença de teu povo fiel.
