¹ The Lord answer you in the day of distress, the name of the God of Jacob protect you,

¹ O Senhor te ouça no dia da angústia; o nome do Deus de Jacó te proteja.

² sending you help from the temple, and out of Zion supporting you.

² Envie-te socorro desde o seu santuário e te sustenha desde Sião.

³ All your meal-offerings may he remember, your burnt-offerings look on with favour. (Selah)

³ Lembre-se de todas as tuas ofertas e aceite os teus holocaustos. (Selá)

⁴ May he grant you your heart’s desire, and bring all your designs to fruition.

⁴ Conceda-te conforme o teu coração e cumpra todo o teu desígnio.

⁵ We will shout then for joy at your victory, and rejoice in the name of our God. May the Lord fulfil all your petitions.

⁵ Nós nos alegraremos pela tua salvação e, em nome do nosso Deus, arvoraremos pendões; satisfaça o Senhor todas as tuas petições.

⁶ Now I am sure that the Lord will give victory to his anointed. From his temple in heaven he will answer by his mighty triumphant right hand.

⁶ Agora sei que o Senhor salva o seu ungido; ele o ouvirá desde o seu santo céu com a força salvadora da sua destra.

⁷ Some in chariots are strong, some in horses; but our strength is the Lord our God.

⁷ Uns confiam em carros, e outros, em cavalos, mas nós faremos menção do nome do Senhor , nosso Deus.

⁸ As for them, they will totter and fall, while we rise and stand firm.

⁸ Uns encurvam-se e caem, mas nós nos levantamos e estamos de pé.

⁹ Give victory, Lord, to the king, and answer us when we call.

⁹ Salva- nos, Senhor ! Ouça-nos o Rei quando clamarmos.
