¹ God has taken his stand in the divine assembly: in the midst of the gods he holds judgment.

¹ Deus assiste na congregação divina; no meio dos deuses, estabelece o seu julgamento.

² “How long will you crookedly judge, and favour the wicked? (Selah)

² Até quando julgareis injustamente e tomareis partido pela causa dos ímpios?

³ Do right by the weak and the orphan, acquit the innocent poor.

³ Fazei justiça ao fraco e ao órfão, procedei retamente para com o aflito e o desamparado.

⁴ Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the hand of the wicked.

⁴ Socorrei o fraco e o necessitado; tirai-os das mãos dos ímpios.

⁵ They have neither knowledge nor insight, in darkness they walk to and fro, while the earth’s foundations totter.

⁵ Eles nada sabem, nem entendem; vagueiam em trevas; vacilam todos os fundamentos da terra.

⁶ It was I who appointed you gods, children of the Most High all of you.

⁶ Eu disse: sois deuses, sois todos filhos do Altíssimo.

⁷ Yet like mortals you shall surely die, you shall fall like any prince.”

⁷ Todavia, como homens, morrereis e, como qualquer dos príncipes, haveis de sucumbir.

⁸ Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all nations are yours by inheritance.

⁸ Levanta-te, ó Deus, julga a terra, pois a ti compete a herança de todas as nações.
