¹ God has made himself known in Judah, his name is great in Israel.

¹ Conhecido é Deus em Judá; grande, o seu nome em Israel.

² His tent is in Salem, his dwelling in Zion.

² Em Salém, está o seu tabernáculo, e, em Sião, a sua morada.

³ There he broke the lightning arrows, shield, sword, and weapons of war. (Selah)

³ Ali, despedaçou ele os relâmpagos do arco, o escudo, a espada e a batalha.

⁴ Terrible is your splendour on the everlasting mountains.

⁴ Tu és ilustre e mais glorioso do que os montes eternos.

⁵ Despoiled were the stout of heart; in the sleep into which they had fallen, none of the warriors could lift a hand.

⁵ Despojados foram os de ânimo forte; jazem a dormir o seu sono, e nenhum dos valentes pode valer-se das próprias mãos.

⁶ At your rebuke, God of Jacob, sank chariot and horse to sleep.

⁶ Ante a tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, paralisaram carros e cavalos.

⁷ Awful are you: who can stand before you, when once you are angry?

⁷ Tu, sim, tu és terrível; se te iras, quem pode subsistir à tua vista?

⁸ The judgment you gave from heaven frightened the earth into silence,

⁸ Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; tremeu a terra e se aquietou,

⁹ when God arose to judgment to save the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)

⁹ ao levantar-se Deus para julgar e salvar todos os humildes da terra.

¹⁰ The fiercest shall praise you, to you shall the remnant hold festival.

¹⁰ Pois até a ira humana há de louvar-te; e do resíduo das iras te cinges.

¹¹ Vow and pay to Lord your God, and let all who are round him bring presents.

¹¹ Fazei votos e pagai-os ao Senhor , vosso Deus; tragam presentes todos os que o rodeiam, àquele que deve ser temido.

¹² He lops off the courage of princes, and with terror fills kings of the earth.

¹² Ele quebranta o orgulho dos príncipes; é tremendo aos reis da terra.
