1 We praise you, God, we praise you: we would call on your name and declare your wonders.
1 Graças te rendemos, ó Deus, graças te rendemos! Invocamos o teu nome, e declaramos as tuas maravilhas.
2 “At the time I choose, I will judge fairly.
2 Pois disseste: “Quando chegar o tempo determinado, julgarei com retidão.
3 Though earth melt and all her inhabitants, it is I who keep steady her pillars.” (Selah) I say to the boasters, “Boast not “; to the wicked, “Lift not up your horn: lift not your horn on high, speak not boldly against the Rock.” For not from east nor west, not from desert nor mountains; but God himself is the judge, humbling one and exalting another.
3 Ainda que tremam a terra e todos os seus moradores, eu firmarei as suas colunas.

4 Digo aos soberbos que não sejam arrogantes; e aos ímpios, que não fiquem de nariz empinado.

5 Não levantem orgulhosamente o seu nariz, nem falem com insolência.”

6 Porque não é do Oriente, não é do Ocidente, nem do deserto que vem o auxílio.

7 Deus é o juiz; a um ele humilha, a outro ele exalta.
8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup foaming wine, richly spiced. Out of this he pours a draught, and all the wicked of earth must drain it down to the dregs.
8 Porque na mão do Senhor há um cálice cujo vinho espumeja, cheio de mistura; dele dá a beber; sorvem-no, até a última gota, todos os ímpios da terra.
9 But I will rejoice forever, singing praise to the God of Jacob.
9 Quanto a mim, exultarei para sempre; cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacó.
10 I will hew all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the just shall be lifted.
10 Ele diz: “Abaterei as forças dos ímpios; mas a força dos justos será exaltada.”
