1 Happy are those who consider the weak; in the day of misfortune the Lord will deliver them.
1 Como é feliz aquele que se importa com o pobre! Em tempos de aflição, o S
2 He will keep them safe, happy, and long in the land, and not give them up to the rage of their foes.
2 O S enhor o protege e lhe conserva a vida. Ele o faz prosperar na terra e o livra de seus inimigos.
3 The Lord will sustain them on bed of languishing; tending their sickness, as long as they lie.
3 O S enhor cuida dele quando fica doente e lhe restaura a saúde.
4 For this cause I say, “Lord, show me your favour; heal me, because I have sinned against you.”
4 Orei: “Ó S enhor , tem misericórdia de mim! Cura-me, pois pequei contra ti!”.
5 My enemies speak of me nothing but evil, “When will he die, and his name pass away?”
5 Meus inimigos, porém, só falam mal de mim: “Quando ele morrerá e será esquecido?”.
6 When they comes to see me, their words ring hollow; their hearts keep gathering mischief the while; and when they go out, they give it speech.
6 Visitam-me como se fossem meus amigos, mas todo o tempo reúnem calúnias contra mim e depois as espalham por aí.
7 In secret they whisper together against me, all those who hate me plot evil against me.
7 Todos que me odeiam falam de mim em sussurros e imaginam o pior.
8 “Some fatal disease has fastened upon him; and now that he lies, he will rise up no more.”
8 “Ele está com uma doença mortal”, dizem, “nunca mais se levantará da cama!”
9 My most trusted friend, on whom I relied, who ate of my bread, has turned against me.
9 Até meu melhor amigo, em quem eu confiava e com quem repartia meu pão, voltou-se contra mim.
10 But do you, Lord, graciously raise me up, that I may pay them their due reward.
10 S enhor , tem misericórdia de mim! Devolve-me a saúde, para que eu lhes dê o que merecem.
11 By this will I know you delight in me: if my foes may not shout over me in triumph.
11 Sei que te agradas de mim, pois não deixaste que meus inimigos triunfassem.
12 For my innocence you uphold me, and set me forever before your face.
12 Preservaste minha vida porque sou inocente e trouxeste-me à tua presença para sempre.
13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting, Amen and Amen.
13 Louvado seja o S enhor , o Deus de Israel, de eternidade a eternidade. Amém e amém!
