¹ The earth is the Lord’s and all that it holds, the world and those who live in it.

¹ Do Senhor é a terra e a sua plenitude; o mundo e aqueles que nele habitam.

² For he founded it on the seas, and on the floods he sustains it.

² Porque ele a fundou sobre os mares, e a firmou sobre os rios.

³ Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?

³ Quem subirá ao monte do Senhor, ou quem estará no seu lugar santo?

⁴ The clean of hands, the pure of heart, who sets not their heart upon sinful things, nor swears with intent to deceive,

⁴ Aquele que é limpo de mãos e puro de coração; que não entrega a sua alma à vaidade, nem jura enganosamente.

⁵ they win from the Lord a blessing: God is their champion and saviour.

⁵ Este receberá do Senhor uma bênção, e a justiça do Deus da sua salvação.

⁶ Such must be those who resort to him, and seek the face of the God of Jacob. (Selah)

⁷ Lift high your heads, you gates --- Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.

⁷ Levantai, ó portas, as vossas cabeças; levantai-vos, ó entradas eternas, e entrará o Rei da Glória.

⁸ “Who is the glorious king?” “The Lord strong and heroic, the Lord heroic in battle.”

⁸ Quem é o Rei da Glória? O Senhor forte e poderoso, o Senhor poderoso na batalha.

⁹ Lift high your heads, you gates --- Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.
