1 In your might, Lord, the king rejoices, and because of your help how exultant is he!
1 O rei se alegra em tua força, Senhor ; e na tua salvação grandemente se regozija.
2 You have granted to him the desire of his heart, the request of his lips you have not withheld. (Selah)
2 Cumpriste-lhe o desejo do seu coração e não desatendeste as súplicas dos seus lábios. (Selá)
3 You did go forth to meet him with blessing and weal, you did set on his head a crown of fine gold.
3 Pois o provês das bênçãos de bondade; pões na sua cabeça uma coroa de ouro fino.
4 He asked you for life, you gave it --- life lasting many days, forever and ever.
4 Vida te pediu, e lha deste, mesmo longura de dias para sempre e eternamente.
5 Great is his glory because of your help, honour and majesty you lay upon him.
5 Grande é a sua glória pela tua salvação; de honra e de majestade o revestiste.
6 For you make him most blessed forever, with the joy of your presence you make him glad.
6 Pois o abençoaste para sempre; tu o enches de gozo com a tua face.
7 For the king puts ever his trust in the Lord; the Most High, in his love, will preserve him unshaken.
7 Porque o rei confia no Senhor e pela misericórdia do Altíssimo nunca vacilará.
8 Your hand will reach to all your foes, and those who hate you your right hand will shatter.
8 A tua mão alcançará todos os teus inimigos; a tua mão direita alcançará aqueles que te aborrecem.
9 You will make them like a furnace of fire, when you appear, Lord. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
9 Tu os farás como um forno aceso quando te manifestares; o Senhor os devorará na sua indignação, e o fogo os consumirá.
10 You will sweep their offspring from the earth, their children from humanity.
10 Seu fruto destruirás da terra e a sua descendência, dentre os filhos dos homens.
11 When they scheme against you and hatch evil plots --- they will fail.
11 Porque intentaram o mal contra ti; maquinaram um ardil, mas não prevalecerão.
12 For you make them turn in flight, you aim with your bow at their faces.
12 Portanto, tu lhes farás voltar as costas; e com tuas flechas postas nas cordas lhes apontarás ao rosto.
13 Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength, to your might we will sing and make music.
13 Exalta-te, Senhor , na tua força; então, cantaremos e louvaremos o teu poder.
