1 To the Chief Musician, for eight-stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in Your anger, nor chasten me in the heat of Your fury.
1 Senhor , não me repreendas na tua ira, nem me castigues no teu furor.
2 Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
2 Tem compaixão de mim, Senhor , porque eu me sinto debilitado; sara-me,
3 My soul also is exceedingly troubled; but You, O LORD, how long?
3 Também a minha alma está profundamente perturbada; mas tu,
4 Return, O LORD, return; deliver my soul; save me for Your mercy's sake.
4 Volta-te, Senhor , e livra a minha alma; salva-me por tua graça.
5 For in death there is no memory of You; in the grave who shall give You thanks?
5 Pois, na morte, não há recordação de ti; no sepulcro, quem te dará louvor?
6 I am weary in my groaning; all the night I make my bed swim; I melt my couch with my tears.
6 Estou cansado de tanto gemer; todas as noites faço nadar o meu leito, de minhas lágrimas o alago.
7 My eye is dim because of grief; it wastes away because of all my enemies.
7 Meus olhos, de mágoa, se acham amortecidos, envelhecem por causa de todos os meus adversários.
8 Depart from me, all workers of iniquity; for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.
8 Apartai-vos de mim, todos os que praticais a iniquidade, porque o
9 The LORD has heard my cry; the LORD will receive my prayer.
9 o Senhor ouviu a minha súplica; o
10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and exceedingly troubled; let them turn back and be ashamed in a moment.
10 Envergonhem-se e sejam sobremodo perturbados todos os meus inimigos; retirem-se, de súbito, cobertos de vexame.
