Isaías 51

1 Listen to me, pursuers of righteousness; seekers of the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.
1 Ouvi-me vós, os que procurais a justiça, os que buscais o Senhor ; olhai para a rocha de que fostes cortados e para a caverna do poço de que fostes cavados.
2 Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
2 Olhai para Abraão, vosso pai, e para Sara, que vos deu à luz; porque era ele único, quando eu o chamei, o abençoei e o multipliquei.
3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody.
3 Porque o Senhor tem piedade de Sião; terá piedade de todos os lugares assolados dela, e fará o seu deserto como o Éden, e a sua solidão, como o jardim do Senhor ; regozijo e alegria se acharão nela, ações de graças e som de música.
4 Listen to Me, My people; and give ear to Me, O My nation; for a law shall go out from Me, and I will make My judgment to rest for a light of peoples.
4 Atendei-me, povo meu, e escutai-me, nação minha; porque de mim sairá a lei, e estabelecerei o meu direito como luz dos povos.
5 My righteousness is near; My salvation has gone out, and My arms shall judge peoples; the coastlands shall wait on Me, and on My arm they shall trust.
5 Perto está a minha justiça, aparece a minha salvação, e os meus braços dominarão os povos; as terras do mar me aguardam e no meu braço esperam.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall become old like a garment; and its inhabitants shall die in the same way. But My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not be broken.
6 Levantai os olhos para os céus e olhai para a terra embaixo, porque os céus desaparecerão como a fumaça, e a terra envelhecerá como um vestido, e os seus moradores morrerão como mosquitos, mas a minha salvação durará para sempre, e a minha justiça não será anulada.
7 Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My law; do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their revelings.
7 Ouvi-me, vós que conheceis a justiça, vós, povo em cujo coração está a minha lei; não temais o opróbrio dos homens, nem vos turbeis por causa das suas injúrias.
8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but My righteousness shall be forever, and My salvation from generation to generation.
8 Porque a traça os roerá como a um vestido, e o bicho os comerá como à lã; mas a minha justiça durará para sempre, e a minha salvação, para todas as gerações.
9 Awake! awake! Put on strength, O arm of the LORD. Awake! as in the days of old, in the generations of old. Was it not You who cut Rahab into pieces, piercing the sea-monster?
9 Desperta, desperta, arma-te de força, braço do Senhor ; desperta como nos dias passados, como nas gerações antigas; não és tu aquele que abateu o Egito e feriu o monstro marinho?
10 Was it not You who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
10 Não és tu aquele que secou o mar, as águas do grande abismo? Aquele que fez o caminho no fundo do mar, para que passassem os remidos?
11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return and come with singing into Zion; and everlasting joy shall be on their head. Gladness and joy shall overtake them; sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
11 Assim voltarão os resgatados do Senhor e virão a Sião com júbilo, e perpétua alegria lhes coroará a cabeça; o regozijo e a alegria os alcançarão, e deles fugirão a dor e o gemido.
12 I, I, am He who comforts you. Who are you, that you should fear a man. He shall die, or from the son of man? He shall be made as grass?
12 Eu, eu sou aquele que vos consola; quem, pois, és tu, para que temas o homem, que é mortal, ou o filho do homem, que não passa de erva?
13 And you forget the LORD your Maker, who has stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. And you dread continually, every day, because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor?
13 Quem és tu que te esqueces do Senhor , que te criou, que estendeu os céus e fundou a terra, e temes continuamente todo o dia o furor do tirano, que se prepara para destruir? Onde está o furor do tirano?
14 Bowed he hurries to be freed, and not that he should die in the pit, nor that he lack his bread.
14 O exilado cativo depressa será libertado, lá não morrerá, lá não descerá à sepultura; o seu pão não lhe faltará.
15 But I am the LORD your God, who divided the sea, and its waves roared; the LORD of hosts is His name.
15 Pois eu sou o Senhor , teu Deus, que agito o mar, de modo que bramem as suas ondas — o Senhor dos Exércitos é o meu nome.
16 And I have put My words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, You are My people.
16 Ponho as minhas palavras na tua boca e te protejo com a sombra da minha mão, para que eu estenda novos céus, funde nova terra e diga a Sião: Tu és o meu povo.
17 Awake! Awake! Rise up, O Jerusalem, who drank the cup of His fury from the hand of the LORD; you have drunk the cup of reeling to the dregs, and wrung them out.
17 Desperta, desperta, levanta-te, ó Jerusalém, que da mão do Senhor bebeste o cálice da sua ira, o cálice de atordoamento, e o esgotaste.
18 No guide is for her among all the sons she has borne; and none takes her by the hand of all the sons that she made to grow.
18 De todos os filhos que ela teve nenhum a guiou; de todos os filhos que criou nenhum a tomou pela mão.
19 These two things have come to you, who shall be sorry for you? Desolation, and ruin, and the famine, and the sword. By whom shall I comfort you?
19 Estas duas coisas te aconteceram; quem teve compaixão de ti? A assolação e a ruína, a fome e a espada! Quem foi o teu consolador?
20 Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the street like a wild antelope in a net, filled with the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.
20 Os teus filhos já desmaiaram, jazem nas estradas de todos os caminhos, como o antílope, na rede; estão cheios da ira do Senhor e da repreensão do teu Deus.
21 So now hear this, afflicted one, and drunken, but not with wine.
21 Pelo que agora ouve isto, ó tu que estás aflita e embriagada, mas não de vinho.
22 So says your Lord Jehovah, and your God who strives for His people, Behold, I have taken the cup of reeling from your hand, even the dregs of the cup of My fury; you shall never drink it again.
22 Assim diz o teu Senhor, o Senhor , teu Deus, que pleiteará a causa do seu povo: Eis que eu tomo da tua mão o cálice de atordoamento, o cálice da minha ira; jamais dele beberás;
23 But I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, Bow down so that we may cross; and put your back as the ground, even as the street to those who cross.
23 pô-lo-ei nas mãos dos que te atormentaram, que disseram à tua alma: Abaixa-te, para que passemos sobre ti; e tu puseste as costas como chão e como rua para os transeuntes.
