Salmos 75

1 To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. We have given thanks to You, O God; we have given thanks; for Your name is near; Your wonderful works have been told.
1 Ao mestre de canto. Não destruas. Salmo de Asaf. Cântico. Nós vos louvamos, Senhor, nós vos louvamos; glorificamos vosso nome e anunciamos vossas maravilhas.
2 When I take the appointed time, I shall judge in uprightness.
2 No tempo que fixei, julgarei o justo juízo.
3 The earth and all of its inhabitants are melting away; I set firm its pillars. Selah.
3 Vacile, embora, a terra com todos os seus habitantes, fui eu quem deu firmeza às suas colunas.
4 I said to the boastful, Do not boast; and to the wicked, Do not lift up the horn.
4 Digo aos arrogantes: Não sejais insolentes; aos ímpios: Não levanteis vossa fronte,
5 Do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with a stiff neck.
5 não ergais contra o Altíssimo a vossa cabeça, deixai de falar a Deus com tanta insolência.
6 For exaltations are not from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert;
6 Não é do oriente, nem do ocidente, nem do deserto, nem das montanhas que vem a salvação.
7 but God is the judge; He puts down this one and lifts up this other .
7 Mas Deus é o juiz; a um ele abate, a outro exalta.
8 For a cup is in the hand of Jehovah; and the wine foams; it is fully mixed, and He pours out from it; surely all the wicked of the earth must drain its dregs and drink.
8 Há na mão do Senhor uma taça de vinho espumante e aromático. Dela dá de beber. E até as fezes hão de esgotá-la; hão de sorvê-la os ímpios todos da terra.
9 But I will witness forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
9 Eu, porém, exultarei para sempre, salmodiarei ao Deus de Jacó.
10 And I will cut off all the horns of the wicked; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
10 Abaterei todas as potências dos ímpios, enquanto o poder dos justos será exaltado.
