1 To the chief musician. For the sons of Korah; A song. For the Virgins. God is our refuge and strength, very much found to be a help in distresses.
1 Deus é o nosso refúgio e fortaleza, socorro bem presente nas tribulações.
2 On account of this we will not fear when the earth changes and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas.
2 Portanto, não temeremos, ainda que a terra se transtorne e os montes se abalem no seio dos mares;
3 Let its waters foam; let the mountains shake in its swelling. Selah.
3 ainda que as águas tumultuem e espumejem e na sua fúria os montes estremeçam.
4 There is a river, its channels gladden the city of God, the holy tabernacles of the Most High.
4 Há um rio, cujas correntes alegram a cidade de Deus, o santuário das moradas do Altíssimo.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be shaken; God will help her at the turning of the morning.
5 Deus está no meio dela; jamais será abalada. Deus a ajudará desde o romper da manhã.
6 The nations roared; kingdoms were shaken; He gave forth His voice and the earth melted.
6 Bramam nações, reinos se abalam. Deus faz ouvir a sua voz, e a terra se dissolve.
7 Jehovah of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is a refuge for us. Selah.
7 O Senhor dos Exércitos está conosco; o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.
8 Come, behold the works of Jehovah, who sets ruins on the earth,
8 Venham contemplar as obras do que tem feito desolações na terra.
9 causing to cease wars to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts apart spears; He burns the chariots in the fire.
9 Ele faz cessar as guerras até os confins do mundo, quebra o arco e despedaça a lança; queima os carros no fogo.
10 Be still and know that I am God! I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.
10 Aquietem-se e saibam que eu sou Deus; sou exaltado entre as nações, sou exaltado na terra.
11 Jehovah of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is a refuge for us. Selah.
