1 A Song of Ascents. O Jehovah, remember David with all his afflictions;
1 Lembra-te, Senhor, a bem de Davi, de todas as suas aflições;
2 how he swore to Jehovah; he vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,
2 como jurou ao Senhor, e fez voto ao Poderoso de Jacó, dizendo:
3 If I will go into the tent of my house, if I go up on the couch of my bed,
3 Não entrarei na casa em que habito, nem subirei ao leito em que durmo;
4 if I give sleep to my eyes, slumber to my eyelids,
4 não darei sono aos meus olhos, nem adormecimento às minhas pálpebras,
5 until I search out a place for Jehovah, dwellings for the Mighty One of Jacob.
5 até que eu ache um lugar para o Senhor uma morada para o Poderoso de Jacó.
6 Lo, we have heard of it at Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the forest;
6 Eis que ouvimos falar dela em Efrata, e a achamos no campo de Jaar.
7 we will enter into His tabernacles; we will worship at His footstool.
7 Entremos nos seus tabernáculos; prostremo-nos ante o escabelo de seus pés.
8 Arise, O Jehovah, into Your rest; You, and the ark of Your strength;
8 Levanta-te, Senhor, entra no lugar do teu repouso, tu e a arca da tua força.
9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy.
9 Vistam-se os teus sacerdotes de justiça, e exultem de júbilo os teus santos.
10 For Your servant David's sake do not turn away the face of Your anointed.
10 Por amor de Davi, teu servo, não rejeites a face do teu ungido.
11 Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; I will set one of the fruit of your body on the throne for you.
11 O Senhor jurou a Davi com verdade, e não se desviará dela: Do fruto das tuas entranhas porei sobre o teu trono.
12 If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I will teach them, their sons shall also sit on your throne till forever.
12 Se os teus filhos guardarem o meu pacto, e os meus testemunhos, que eu lhes hei de ensinar, também os seus filhos se assentarão perpetuamente no teu trono.
13 Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place.
13 Porque o Senhor escolheu a Sião; desejou-a para sua habitação, dizendo:
14 This is My rest till forever; I will dwell here; I have desired it.
14 Este é o lugar do meu repouso para sempre; aqui habitarei, pois o tenho desejado.
15 I will surely bless her food; I will satisfy her poor with food.
15 Abençoarei abundantemente o seu mantimento; fartarei de pão os seus necessitados.
16 And I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall surely shout.
16 Vestirei de salvação os seus sacerdotes; e de júbilo os seus santos exultarão
17 I will make the horn of David to sprout; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed.
17 Ali farei brotar a força de Davi; preparei uma lâmpada para o meu ungido.
18 I will clothe his enemies with shame; but his crown shall shine upon him.
18 Vestirei de confusão os seus inimigos; mas sobre ele resplandecerá a sua coroa.
