1 And He having come down from the mount, great crowds followed Him.
1 Quando ele desceu do monte, grandes multidões o seguiram.
2 And behold, coming up, a leper worshiped Him, saying, Lord, If You will, You are able to cleanse me.
2 Um leproso, aproximando-se, adorou-o de joelhos e disse: "Senhor, se quiseres, podes purificar-me! "
3 And stretching out His hand, Jesus touched him, saying, I will! Be cleansed! And instantly his leprosy was cleansed.
3 Jesus estendeu a mão, tocou nele e disse: "Quero. Seja purificado! " Imediatamente ele foi purificado da lepra.
4 And Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
4 Em seguida Jesus lhe disse: "Olhe, não conte isso a ninguém. Mas vá mostrar-se ao sacerdote e apresente a oferta que Moisés ordenou, para que sirva de testemunho".
5 And Jesus, entering into Capernaum, a centurion came near to Him, begging Him,
5 Entrando Jesus em Cafarnaum, dirigiu-se a ele um centurião, pedindo-lhe ajuda.
6 and saying, Lord, my boy has been laid in the house, a paralytic, being grievously tormented.
6 E disse: "Senhor, meu servo está em casa, paralítico, em terrível sofrimento".
7 And Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him.
7 Jesus lhe disse: "Eu irei curá-lo".
8 And answering, the centurion said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, but only speak a word and my boy will be healed.
8 Respondeu o centurião: "Senhor, não mereço receber-te debaixo do meu teto. Mas dize apenas uma palavra, e o meu servo será curado.
9 For I am also a man under authority, having soldiers under myself. And I say to this one, Go; and he goes; and to another, Come; and he comes; and to my slave, Do this; and he does it .
9 Pois eu também sou homem sujeito à autoridade, com soldados sob o meu comando. Digo a um: ‘Vá’, e ele vai; e a outro: ‘Venha’, e ele vem. Digo a meu servo: ‘Faça isto’, e ele faz".
10 And hearing, Jesus marveled, and said to those following, Truly I say to you, Not even in Israel did I find such faith.
10 Ao ouvir isso, Jesus admirou-se e disse aos que o seguiam: "Digo-lhes a verdade: Não encontrei em Israel ninguém com tamanha fé.
11 But I say to you that many will come from east and west, and will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven,
11 Eu lhes digo que muitos virão do Oriente e do Ocidente, e se sentarão à mesa com Abraão, Isaque e Jacó no Reino dos céus.
12 but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.
12 Mas os súditos do Reino serão lançados para fora, nas trevas, onde haverá choro e ranger de dentes".
13 And Jesus said to the centurion, Go, and as you have believed, so let it be to you. And his boy was healed in that hour.
13 Então Jesus disse ao centurião: "Vá! Como você creu, assim lhe acontecerá! " Na mesma hora o seu servo foi curado.
14 And coming to the house of Peter, Jesus saw his mother-in-law laid out and in a fever.
14 Entrando Jesus na casa de Pedro, viu a sogra deste de cama, com febre.
15 And He touched her hand, and her fever left her. And she rose up and served them.
15 Tomando-a pela mão, a febre a deixou, e ela se levantou e começou a servi-lo.
16 And evening having come on, they brought to Him many having been possessed by demons. And He cast out the spirits by a word, and He healed all those having illness,
16 Ao anoitecer foram trazidos a ele muitos endemoninhados, e ele expulsou os espíritos com uma palavra e curou todos os doentes.
17 so that it might be fulfilled that spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took upon Himself our weaknesses, and bore our sicknesses." Isa. 53:4
17 E assim se cumpriu o que fora dito pelo profeta Isaías: "Ele tomou sobre si as nossas enfermidades e sobre si levou as nossas doenças".
18 And seeing great crowds around Him, Jesus gave orders to go away to the other side.
18 Quando Jesus viu a multidão ao seu redor, deu ordens para que atravessassem para o outro lado do mar.
19 And one, a scribe, coming near, said to Him, Teacher, I will follow You wherever you may go.
19 Então, um mestre da lei aproximou-se e disse: "Mestre, eu te seguirei por onde quer que fores".
20 And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere He may lay His head.
20 Jesus respondeu: "As raposas têm suas tocas e as aves do céu têm seus ninhos, mas o Filho do homem não tem onde repousar a cabeça".
21 And another of His disciples said to Him, Lord, allow me first to go away and bury my father.
21 Outro discípulo lhe disse: "Senhor, deixa-me ir primeiro sepultar meu pai".
22 But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.
22 Mas Jesus lhe disse: "Siga-me, e deixe que os mortos sepultem os seus próprios mortos".
23 And He entering into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
23 Entrando ele no barco, seus discípulos o seguiram.
24 And, behold, a great storm rose up in the sea, so that the boat was covered by the waves; but He was sleeping.
24 De repente, uma violenta tempestade abateu-se sobre o mar, de forma que as ondas inundavam o barco. Jesus, porém, dormia.
25 And coming near, His disciples awakened Him, saying, Lord, save us! We are perishing.
25 Os discípulos foram acordá-lo, clamando: "Senhor, salva-nos! Vamos morrer! "
26 And He said to them, Why are you afraid, little-faiths? Then rising up, He rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm.
26 Ele perguntou: "Por que vocês estão com tanto medo, homens de pequena fé? " Então ele se levantou e repreendeu os ventos e o mar, e fez-se completa bonança.
27 And the men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?
27 Os homens ficaram perplexos e perguntaram: "Quem é este que até os ventos e o mar lhe obedecem? "
28 And when He had come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, very violent, so that no one was able to pass through that way.
28 Quando ele chegou ao outro lado, à região dos gadarenos, foram ao seu encontro dois endemoninhados, que vinham dos sepulcros. Eles eram tão violentos que ninguém podia passar por aquele caminho.
29 And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us?
29 Então eles gritaram: "Que queres conosco, Filho de Deus? Vieste aqui para nos atormentar antes do devido tempo? "
30 And far off from them there was a herd of many pigs feeding.
30 A certa distância deles estava pastando uma grande manada de porcos.
31 And the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of pigs.
31 Os demônios imploravam a Jesus: "Se nos expulsas, manda-nos entrar naquela manada de porcos".
32 And He said to them, Go! And coming out, these went away into the herd of pigs. And, behold, all the herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the waters.
32 Ele lhes disse: "Vão! " Eles saíram e entraram nos porcos, e toda a manada atirou-se precipício abaixo, em direção ao mar, e morreu afogada.
33 But those who fed them fled, and going into the city, they told all the things of the ones who had been demon-possessed.
33 Os que cuidavam dos porcos fugiram, foram à cidade e contaram tudo, inclusive o que acontecera aos endemoninhados.
34 And, behold, all the city went out to meet with Jesus. And seeing Him, they begged that He move away from their borders.
34 Toda a cidade saiu ao encontro de Jesus, e quando o viram, suplicaram-lhe que saísse do território deles.
