Isaías 13

1 The burden of Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw:
1 Sentença que, numa visão, recebeu Isaías, filho de Amoz, contra a Babilônia.
2 Lift up a banner on a bare mountain; make the voice rise to them; wave the hand that they may enter the gates of nobles.
2 Alçai um estandarte sobre o monte escalvado; levantai a voz para eles; acenai-lhes com a mão, para que entrem pelas portas dos tiranos.
3 I have commanded My holy ones; I have also called My warriors for My anger, those who rejoice in My highness.
3 Eu dei ordens aos meus consagrados, sim, chamei os meus valentes para executarem a minha ira, os que com exultação se orgulham.
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, as of a great people! A noise of tumult of the kingdoms of nations gathered together; Jehovah of Hosts is calling up an army for the battle.
4 Já se ouve sobre os montes o rumor como o de muito povo, o clamor de reinos e de nações já congregados. O Senhor dos Exércitos passa revista às tropas de guerra.
5 They come from a distant land, from the end of the heavens, Jehovah and the weapons of His wrath, to destroy all the land.
5 Já vêm de um país remoto, desde a extremidade do céu, o Senhor e os instrumentos da sua indignação, para destruir toda a terra.
6 Howl! For the day of Jehovah is at hand. It shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
6 Uivai, pois está perto o Dia do Senhor ; vem do Todo-Poderoso como assolação.
7 On account of this all hands shall droop, and every heart of man shall melt;
7 Pelo que todos os braços se tornarão frouxos, e o coração de todos os homens se derreterá.
8 and they shall be afraid. Pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain like a woman bearing; they shall be amazed, each man to his neighbor; faces of flames shall be their faces.
8 Assombrar-se-ão, e apoderar-se-ão deles dores e ais, e terão contorções como a mulher parturiente; olharão atônitos uns para outros; o seu rosto se tornará rosto flamejante.
9 Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, cruel and with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land waste. And He shall destroy its sinners out of it.
9 Eis que vem o Dia do Senhor , dia cruel, com ira e ardente furor, para converter a terra em assolação e dela destruir os pecadores.
10 For the stars of the heavens and their constellations shall not give light; the sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not reflect its light.
10 Porque as estrelas e constelações dos céus não darão a sua luz; o sol, logo ao nascer, se escurecerá, e a lua não fará resplandecer a sua luz.
11 And I will visit evil on the world, and their iniquity on the wicked. And I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease; and I will humble the pride of tyrants.
11 Castigarei o mundo por causa da sua maldade e os perversos, por causa da sua iniquidade; farei cessar a arrogância dos atrevidos e abaterei a soberba dos violentos.
12 I will make a man more rare than fine gold; even a man more than the carvings of Ophir.
12 Farei que os homens sejam mais escassos do que o ouro puro, mais raros do que o ouro de Ofir.
13 So I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall move out of its place, in the wrath of Jehovah of Hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.
13 Portanto, farei estremecer os céus; e a terra será sacudida do seu lugar, por causa da ira do Senhor dos Exércitos e por causa do dia do seu ardente furor.
14 And it shall be as a gazelle driven away, and as a sheep no one gathers; each man shall look to his own people, and each one shall flee to his land.
14 Cada um será como a gazela que foge e como o rebanho que ninguém recolhe; cada um voltará para o seu povo e cada um fugirá para a sua terra.
15 Everyone who is found shall be pierced through; yea, everyone who is sept away shall fall by the sword.
15 Quem for achado será traspassado; e aquele que for apanhado cairá à espada.
16 And their children shall be dashed in pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be robbed, and their wives raped.
16 Suas crianças serão esmagadas perante eles; a sua casa será saqueada, e sua mulher, violada.
17 Behold! I stir up the Medes against them, who shall not value silver. And they shall not delight in gold.
17 Eis que eu despertarei contra eles os medos, que não farão caso de prata, nem tampouco desejarão ouro.
18 And bows shall also smash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare sons.
18 Os seus arcos matarão os jovens; eles não se compadecerão do fruto do ventre; os seus olhos não pouparão as crianças.
19 And Babylon, the glory of the kingdoms, the beauty of the pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
19 Babilônia, a joia dos reinos, glória e orgulho dos caldeus, será como Sodoma e Gomorra, quando Deus as transtornou.
20 It shall never be inhabited forever, nor shall it be lived in from generation to generation. And the Arabian shall not pitch a tent there, nor shall the shepherds make flocks lie down there.
20 Nunca jamais será habitada, ninguém morará nela de geração em geração; o arábio não armará ali a sua tenda, nem tampouco os pastores farão ali deitar os seus rebanhos.
21 But the desert creatures shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of howling creatures; and daughters of ostriches shall dwell there; and he goats shall skip there.
21 Porém, nela, as feras do deserto repousarão, e as suas casas se encherão de corujas; ali habitarão os avestruzes, e os sátiros pularão ali.
22 And hyenas shall cry along with his widows; and jackals in palaces of delight. Yea, her time to come is near, and her days shall not be prolonged.
22 As hienas uivarão nos seus castelos; os chacais, nos seus palácios de prazer; está prestes a chegar o seu tempo, e os seus dias não se prolongarão.
