¹ A psalm of Asaph. A song. God is known in Judah. His name is great in Israel.

¹ Deus é conhecido em Judá; grande é o seu nome em Israel.

² His den has been in Salem, his lair in Zion.

² Em Salém está o seu tabernáculo, e, em Sião, a sua morada.

³ There he broke the flames of the bow, the shield and sword and battle. Selah

³ Ali, despedaçou ele as flechas, o escudo, a espada e a batalha.

⁴ Radiant you are, majestic, from the mountains of prey.

⁴ Tu és ilustre e mais glorioso do que os montes eternos.

⁵ The stouthearted are plundered; they sleep their sleep, and all the able men cannot ⌞use⌟ their hands.

⁵ Os corajosos foram despojados; jazem a dormir o seu sono, e nenhum dos valentes pode valer-se das próprias mãos.

⁶ At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse slumber.

⁶ Ante a tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, carros de guerra e cavalos foram lançados num sono profundo.

⁷ ⌞You, indeed, are to be feared⌟, and who can stand before you when you are angry?

⁷ Tu, sim, tu és terrível; se estás irado, quem pode permanecer na tua presença?

⁸ From heaven you proclaimed judgment. The earth feared and was still

⁸ Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,

⁹ when God rose for justice, to save all the afflicted of the land. Selah

⁹ quando Deus se levantou para julgar e salvar todos os humildes da terra.

¹⁰ For the anger of humankind will praise you. You will put on the remnant of anger.

¹⁰ Pois até a ira humana há de louvar-te; e da ira restante te cingirás.

¹¹ Make vows and fulfill them to Yahweh, your God; let all surrounding him bring tribute to the one to be feared.

¹¹ Façam votos ao Senhor , seu Deus, e tratem de cumpri-los; todos os que o rodeiam tragam presentes àquele que deve ser temido.

¹² He cuts off the spirit of leaders. He is to be feared by the kings of the earth.

¹² Ele acaba com o orgulho dos príncipes; ele é tremendo para os reis da terra.
