1 When Doeg the Edomite came and informed Saul. And he said to him, “David has come to the house of Ahimelech.” Why do you boast about evil, O mighty man? The loyal love of God endures ⌞continually⌟.
1 Ao Músico-chefe, Masquil, Salmo de Davi, quando Doegue, o edomita, veio e contou a Saul, e lhe disse que Davi havia ido à casa de Abimeleque. Por que te vanglorias com o dano, ó poderoso homem? A bondade de Deus perdura continuamente.
2 Your tongue plans destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceit.
2 Tua língua intenta danos, como uma navalha afiada, trabalhando enganosamente.
3 You love evil more than good, a lie more than speaking ⌞what is right⌟. Selah
3 Tu amas o mal mais do que o bem, e mentir mais do que falar a justiça. Selá.
4 You love all devouring words, O deceitful tongue,
4 Tu amas todas as palavras devoradoras, ó tu, língua enganosa.
5 but God will pull you down forever. He will snatch you and tear you away from your tent, and he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
5 Deus, da mesma forma, te destruirá para sempre, ele te removerá e te arrancará da tua habitação, e desarraigar-te-á da terra dos vivos. Selá.
6 And the righteous will see and fear, and will laugh at him, saying,
6 Os justos também verão, temerão, e se rirão dele.
7 “Look, the man who would not make God his refuge, but he trusted in the greatness of his wealth; he took refuge in his destructiveness.”
7 Eis que este é o homem que não fez de Deus a sua força, mas confiou na abundância das suas riquezas, e se fortaleceu em sua perversidade.
8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God. I trust the loyal love of God forever and ever.
8 Mas eu sou como uma oliveira verde na casa de Deus; confio na misericórdia de Deus para sempre e sempre.
9 I will give thanks to you forever, because of what you have done, and I will wait on your name, because it is good, in the presence of your faithful ones.
9 Eu te louvarei para sempre, porque fizeste isto, e esperarei no teu nome, porque isto é bom diante dos teus santos.
