1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the advice of the wicked; nor does he stand in the way of sinners; nor does he sit in the assembly of mockers.
1 Feliz é aquele que não segue o conselho dos perversos, não se detém no caminho dos pecadores, nem se junta à roda dos zombadores.
2 Instead, in the law of Yahweh is his delight, and on his law he meditates day and night.
2 Pelo contrário, tem prazer na lei do S enhor e nela medita dia e noite.
3 And so, he is like a tree planted by streams of water that gives its fruit in its season; its leaf also does not wither. Therefore all that he does prospers.
3 Ele é como a árvore plantada à margem do rio, que dá seu fruto no tempo certo. Suas folhas nunca murcham, e ele prospera em tudo que faz.
4 Not so the wicked. Instead, they are like the chaff that the wind scatters.
4 O mesmo não acontece com os perversos! São como palha levada pelo vento.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
5 Serão condenados quando vier o juízo; os pecadores não terão lugar entre os justos.
6 for Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
6 Pois o S enhor guarda o caminho dos justos, mas o caminho dos perversos leva à destruição.
