1 An oracle of Moab: Because Ar is devastated in a night, Moab is destroyed; because Kir of Moab is devastated in a night, it is destroyed.
1 Peso de Moabe. Certamente numa noite foi destruída Ar de Moabe, e foi desfeita; certamente numa noite foi destruída Quir de Moabe e foi desfeita.
2 It has gone up to the house, and Dibon to the high places for weeping over Nebo, and Moab wails over Medeba. ⌞Every head is bald⌟, every beard is shaved.
2 Vai subindo a Bajite, e a Dibom, aos lugares altos, para chorar; por Nebo e por Medeba clamará Moabe; todas as cabeças ficarão calvas, e toda a barba será rapada.
3 They gird themselves with sackcloth in its streets; on its roofs and public squares everyone wails, going down in weeping.
3 Cingiram-se de sacos nas suas ruas; nos seus terraços e nas suas praças todos andam gritando, e choram abundantemente.
4 And Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, their voice is heard as far as Jahaz; therefore the armed ones of Moab cry out; its soul quivers for him.
4 Assim Hesbom como Eleale, andam gritando; até Jaaz se ouve a sua voz; por isso os armados de Moabe clamam; a sua alma lhes será penosa.
5 My heart cries out for Moab; its fugitives flee up to Zoar, to Eglath-shelishiyah. For at the ascent of Luhith it goes up it with weeping; for on the road of Horonaim they raise up a cry of destruction.
5 O meu coração clama por causa de Moabe; os seus fugitivos foram até Zoar, como uma novilha de três anos; porque vão chorando pela subida de Luíte, porque no caminho de Horonaim levantam um lastimoso pranto.
6 For the waters of Nimrim are wastelands; for the grass has withered, the vegetation has vanished, there is no greenness.
6 Porque as águas de Ninrim serão pura assolação; porque já secou o feno, acabou a erva, e não há verdura alguma.
7 Therefore they carry the abundance it has made and their store of goods over the river of the poplars.
7 Por isso a abundância que ajuntaram, e o que guardaram, ao ribeiro dos salgueiros o levarão.
8 For a cry for help has encircled the territory of Moab, her wailing is heard as far as Eglaim, and her wailing as far as Beer Elim.
8 Porque o pranto rodeará aos limites de Moabe; até Eglaim chegará o seu clamor, e ainda até Beer-Elim chegará o seu lamento.
9 For the waters of Dimon are full of blood; but I will place added things upon Dimon: a lion for the survivors of Moab and for the remnant of the land.
9 Porquanto as águas de Dimom estão cheias de sangue, porque ainda acrescentarei mais a Dimom; leões contra aqueles que escaparem de Moabe e contra o restante da terra.
