1 And Eliashib, the great priest, rose up, with his brothers, the priests, and they built the gate of the flock. They sanctified it, and they set up its double doors, and as far as the tower of one hundred cubits, they sanctified it, even to the tower of Hananel.
1 O sumo sacerdote Eliasibe e os seus colegas sacerdotes começaram o seu trabalho e reconstruíram a porta das Ovelhas. Eles a consagraram e colocaram as portas no lugar. Depois construíram o muro até a torre dos Cem, que consagraram, e até a torre de Hananeel.
2 And beside him, the men of Jericho built. And beside them, Zaccur, the son of Imri, built.
2 Os homens de Jericó construíram o trecho seguinte, e Zacur, filho de Inri, construiu logo adiante.
3 But the sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They covered it, and they set up its double doors and locks and bars. And beside them, Meremoth, the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, built.
3 A porta do Peixe foi reconstruída pelos filhos de Hassenaá. Eles puseram as vigas e colocaram as portas, os ferrolhos e as trancas no lugar.
4 And beside him, Meshullam, the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel, built. And beside them, Zadok, the son of Baana, built.
4 Meremote, filho de Urias, neto de Coz, fez os reparos do trecho seguinte. Ao lado dele Mesulão, filho de Berequias, neto de Mesezabel, fez os reparos, e ao lado dele Zadoque, filho de Baaná, também fez os reparos.
5 And beside them, the Tekoites built. But the nobles among them did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.
5 O trecho seguinte foi reparado pelos homens de Tecoa, mas os nobres dessa cidade não quiseram se juntar ao serviço, rejeitando a orientação de seus supervisores.
6 And Joiada, the son of Paseah, and Meshullam, the son of Besodeiah, built the old gate. They covered it, and they set up its double doors and locks and bars.
6 A porta Jesaná foi consertada por Joiada, filho de Paséia, e por Mesulão, filho de Besodias. Eles puseram as vigas e colocaram as portas, os ferrolhos e as trancas no lugar.
7 And beside them, Melatiah, a Gibeonite, and Jadon, a Meronothite, men from Gibeon and Mizpah, built, on behalf of the governor who was in the region across the river.
7 No trecho seguinte, os reparos foram feitos por homens de Gibeom e de Mispá, Melatias de Gibeom e Jadom de Meronote, locais que estavam sob a autoridade do governador da província do Trans-Eufrates.
8 And beside him, Uzziel, the son of Harhaiah the goldsmith, built. And beside him, Hananiah, the son of the perfumer, built. And they left aside Jerusalem as far as the wall of the broad street.
8 Uziel, filho de Haraías, um dos ourives, fez os reparos do trecho seguinte; e Hananias, um dos perfumistas, fez os reparos ao seu lado. Eles resconstruíram Jerusalém até o muro Largo.
9 And beside him, Rephaiah, the son of Hur, leader of a street of Jerusalem, built.
9 Refaías, filho de Hur, governador da metade do distrito de Jerusalém, fez os reparos do trecho seguinte.
10 And beside him, Jedaiah, the son of Harumaph, built, opposite his own house. And beside him, Hattush, the son of Hashabneiah, built.
10 Ao seu lado, Jedaías, filho de Harumafe, fez os reparos em frente da sua casa, e Hatus, filho de Hasabnéias, fez os reparos ao lado dele.
11 Malchijah, the son of Harim, and Hasshub, the son of Pahath-moab, built one half part of the street and the tower of the furnaces.
11 Malquias, filho de Harim, e Hassube, filho de Paate-Moabe, repararam outro trecho e a torre dos Fornos.
12 And beside him, Shallum, the son of Hallohesh, the leader of one half part of a street of Jerusalem, built, he and his daughters.
12 Salum, filho de Haloés, governador da outra metade do distrito de Jerusalém, fez os reparos do trecho seguinte com a ajuda de suas filhas.
13 And Hanun built the gate of the valley, with the inhabitants of Zanoah. They built it, and they set up its double doors and locks and bars, with one thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the gate of the dunghill.
13 A porta do Vale foi reparada por Hanum e pelos moradores de Zanoa. Eles a reconstruíram e colocaram as portas, os ferrolhos e as trancas no lugar. Também repararam quatrocentos e cinqüenta metros do muro, até a porta do Esterco.
14 And Malchijah, the son of Rechab, the leader of the street of Beth-haccherem, built the gate of the dunghill. He built it, and he set up its double doors and locks and bars.
14 A porta do Esterco foi reparada por Malquias, filho de Recabe, governador do distrito de Bete-Haquerém. Ele a reconstruiu e colocou as portas, os ferrolhos e as trancas no lugar.
15 And Shallum, the son of Colhozeh, the leader of the district of Mizpah, built the gate of the fountain. He built it, and he covered it, and he set up its double doors and locks and bars, and the walls of the pool of Shelah at the garden of the king, and as far as the steps that descend from the City of David.
15 A porta da Fonte foi reparada por Salum, filho de Col-Hozé, governador do distrito de Mispá. Ele a reconstruiu, a cobriu e colocou as portas, os ferrolhos e as trancas no lugar. Também fez os reparos do muro do tanque de Siloé, junto ao jardim do Rei, até aos degraus que descem da cidade de Davi.
16 After him, Nehemiah, the son of Azbuk, the leader of one half part of the street of Bethzur, built, as far as opposite the sepulcher of David, and even to the pool, which was constructed with great labor, and even to the house of the strong.
16 Além dele, Neemias, filho de Azbuque, governador de meio distrito de Bete-Zur, fez os reparos até em frente dos túmulos de Davi, até o açude artificial e a casa dos soldados.
17 After him, the Levites, Rehum, the son of Bani, built. After him, Hashabiah, the leader of one half part of the street of Keilah, built, in his own neighborhood.
17 Depois dele os reparos foram feitos pelos levitas que estavam sob a responsabilidade de Reum, filho de Bani. Junto a ele Hasabias, governador de meio distrito de Queila, fez os reparos em seu distrito.
18 After him, their brothers, Binnui, the son of Henadad, the leader of one half part of Keilah, built.
18 Depois dele os reparos foram feitos pelos seus compatriotas que estavam sob a responsabilidade de Binui, filho de Henadade, governador de meio distrito de Queila.
19 And beside him, Ezer, the son of Jeshua, the leader of Mizpah, built another measure, opposite the ascent to the strongest corner.
19 Ao seu lado Ézer, filho de Jesua, governador de Mispá, reconstruiu outro trecho, começando de um ponto que fica em frente da subida para a casa das armas, indo até à esquina do muro.
20 After him, at the mount, Baruch, the son of Zabbai, built another measure, from the corner even to the door of the house of Eliashib, the great priest.
20 Depois dele Baruque, filho de Zabai, reparou com zelo outro trecho, desde a esquina do muro até à entrada da casa do sumo sacerdote Eliasibe.
21 After him, Meremoth, the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, built another measure, from the door of the house of Eliashib, along the length of the house of Eliashib.
21 Em seguida Meremote, filho de Urias, neto de Coz, reparou outro trecho, desde a entrada da casa de Eliasibe até o fim dela.
22 And after him, the priests, men from the plains of the Jordan, built.
22 Os demais reparos foram feitos pelos sacerdotes das redondezas.
23 After him, Benjamin and Hasshub built, opposite their own house. And after him, Azariah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ananiah, built, opposite his own house.
23 Depois, Benjamim e Hassube fizeram os reparos em frente da sua casa; e ao lado deles Azarias, filho de Maaséias, filho de Ananias, fez os reparos ao lado de sua casa.
24 After him, Binnui, the son of Henadad, built another measure, from the house of Azariah, even to the bend and to the corner.
24 Depois dele, Binui, filho de Henadade, reparou outro trecho, desde a casa de Azarias até à esquina do muro,
25 Palal, the son of Uzai, built, opposite the bend and the tower that projects from the high house of the king, that is, into the court of the prison. After him, Pedaiah, the son of Parosh, built.
25 e Palal, filho de Uzai, trabalhou em frente da esquina do muro e da torre que sai do palácio superior, perto do pátio da guarda. Junto a ele, Pedaías, filho de Parós,
26 And the temple servants, who were living in Ophel, built to a point opposite the water gate, toward the east, and the tower that is prominent.
26 e os servos do templo que viviam na colina de Ofel fizeram os reparos até em frente da porta das Águas, na direção do leste e da torre que ali sobressaía.
27 After him, the Tekoites built another measure in the opposite area, from the great and prominent tower to the wall of the temple.
27 Depois dele os homens de Tecoa repararam outro trecho, desde a grande torre até o muro de Ofel.
28 Then, upward from the horse gate, the priests built, each one opposite his own house.
28 Acima da porta dos Cavalos, os sacerdotes fizeram os reparos, cada um em frente da sua própria casa.
29 After them, Zadok, the son of Immer, built, opposite his own house. And after him, Shemaiah, the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate, built.
29 Depois deles Zadoque, filho de Imer, fez os reparos em frente da sua casa. Ao seu lado Semaías, filho de Secanias, o guarda da porta Oriental, fez os reparos.
30 After him, Hananiah, the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, built another measure. After him, Meshullam, the son of Berechiah, built, opposite his own storehouse. After him, Malchijah, the son of the goldsmith, built, even up to the house of the temple servants and of the sellers of small items, opposite the judgment gate, and even to the upper room of the corner.
30 Depois, Hananias, filho de Selemias, e Hanum, filho de Zalafe, fez os reparos do outro trecho. Ao seu lado, Mesulão, filho de Berequias, fez os reparos em frente da sua moradia.
31 And within the upper room of the corner, at the gate of the flock, the goldsmiths and the merchants built.
31 Depois dele, Malquias, um ourives, fez os reparos do muro até à casa dos servos do templo e dos comerciantes, em frente à porta da Inspeção, até o posto de vigia da esquina;
32 — ausente —
32 e entre a sala acima da esquina e a porta das Ovelhas os ourives e os comerciantes fizeram os reparos.
