Isaías 53

1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
1 Quem tem acreditado em nosso relato? E a quem é o braço do SENHOR revelado?
2 And he will rise up like a tender plant in his sight, and like a root from the thirsty ground. There is no beautiful or stately appearance in him. For we looked upon him, and there was no aspect, such that we would desire him.
2 Porque ele crescerá diante dele como uma tenra planta, e como uma raiz de terra seca; não tem forma, nem formosura; e quando nós viermos a vê-lo, não haverá beleza para que nós devamos desejá-lo.
3 He is despised and the least among men, a man of sorrows who knows infirmity. And his countenance was hidden and despised. Because of this, we did not esteem him.
3 Ele é desprezado e rejeitado dentre os homens, um homem de dores e familiarizado com a tristeza. E nós escondemos dele nossas faces, igualmente. Ele foi desprezado e nós o tivemos por nada.
4 Truly, he has taken away our weaknesses, and he himself has carried our sorrows. And we thought of him as if he were a leper, or as if he had been struck by God and humiliated.
4 Certamente ele suportou nossas dores e carregou nossas tristezas. Contudo, nós o consideramos atingido, ferido de Deus e afligido.
5 But he himself was wounded because of our iniquities. He was bruised because of our wickedness. The discipline of our peace was upon him. And by his wounds, we are healed.
5 Porém, ele foi ferido por nossas transgressões, ele foi esmagado por nossas iniquidades. O castigo de nossa paz estava sobre ele e pelos açoites que o feriram nós somos curados.
6 We have all gone astray like sheep; each one has turned aside to his own way. And the Lord has placed all our iniquity upon him.
6 Todos nós como ovelhas temos nos desviado. Nós temos nos afastado, cada um para seu próprio caminho, e o SENHOR tem posto sobre ele a iniquidade de todos nós.
7 He was offered up, because it was his own will. And he did not open his mouth. He will be led like a sheep to the slaughter. And he will be mute like a lamb before his shearer. For he will not open his mouth.
7 Ele foi oprimido e ele foi afligido, contudo, ele não abriu a sua boca. Ele é trazido como um cordeiro para o matadouro, e como uma ovelha muda perante os seus tosquiadores está, assim ele não abriu sua boca.
8 He was lifted up from anguish and judgment. Who will describe his life? For he has been cut off from the land of the living. Because of the wickedness of my people, I have struck him down.
8 Ele foi tirado da prisão e do juízo: E quem declarará sua geração? Porque ele foi cortado da terra dos viventes; pela transgressão do meu povo foi ele chagado.
9 And he will be given a place with the impious for his burial, and with the rich for his death, though he has done no iniquity, nor was deceit in his mouth.
9 E ele fez a sua sepultura com o perverso e com o rico em sua morte, porquanto ele não tinha feito nenhuma violência, nem engano algum estava em sua boca.
10 But it was the will of the Lord to crush him with infirmity. If he lays down his life because of sin, he will see offspring with long lives, and the will of the Lord will be directed by his hand.
10 Contudo, agradou ao SENHOR feri-lo. Ele o submeteu a padecimento. Quando tu vieres a fazer da alma dele uma oferta pelo pecado, ele verá sua descendência; ele prolongará seus dias e a vontade do SENHOR prosperará nas mãos dele.
11 Because his soul has labored, he will see and be satisfied. By his knowledge, my just servant will himself justify many, and he himself will carry their iniquities.
11 Ele verá o penoso trabalho de sua alma e estará satisfeito. Pelo seu conhecimento meu justo servo justificará muitos, porque ele carregará as iniquidades deles.
12 Therefore, I will allot to him a great number. And he will divide the spoils of the strong. For he has handed over his life to death, and he was reputed among criminals. And he has taken away the sins of many, and he has prayed for the transgressors.
12 Portanto, eu dividirei para ele uma porção com o grande e ele dividirá o despojo com o forte, porque ele tem derramado a sua alma até a morte, e ele foi contado com os transgressores, e ele carrega o pecado de muitos e fez intercessão pelos transgressores.
