Ezequiel 6

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
1 E a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and you shall prophesy against them,
2 Filho do homem, põe a tua face em direção aos montes de Israel, e profetiza contra eles.
3 and you shall say: O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and hills and cliffs and valleys: Behold, I will lead over you the sword. And I will destroy your exalted places.
3 E diz: Vós montes de Israel, ouvi a palavra do Senhor DEUS: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS aos montes, e às colinas, aos rios e aos vales: Eis que eu, eu mesmo, trarei uma espada sobre vós, e destruirei os vossos lugares altos.
4 And I will demolish your altars. And your graven images will be broken apart. And I will throw down your slain before your idols.
4 E os vossos altares serão assolados, e vossas imagens serão quebradas; e derrubarei os vossos homens mortos, diante dos vossos ídolos.
5 And I will lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel before the face of your idols. And I will scatter your bones around your altars.
5 E eu colocarei as carcaças mortas dos filhos de Israel diante dos seus ídolos; e espalharei os vossos ossos em redor dos vossos altares.
6 In all of your habitations, the cities will be made desolate, and the exalted places will be torn down and scattered. And your altars will be broken and destroyed. And your idols will cease to exist. And your shrines will be crushed. And your works will be wiped away.
6 Em todos os vossos lugares habitáveis, as cidades serão devastadas, e os lugares altos serão assolados; para que os vossos altares sejam destruídos e assolados, e os vossos ídolos sejam quebrados e cessados, e as vossas imagens possam ser cortadas, e as vossas obras abolidas.
7 And the slain will fall in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.
7 E os mortos cairão no meio de vós, e sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR.
8 And I will leave among you those who will escape the sword among the Gentiles, when I will have dispersed you upon the earth.
8 Ainda assim, eu deixarei um remanescente, para que tenhais alguns que escaparão da espada entre as nações, quando fordes espalhados pelas regiões.
9 And your liberated shall remember me among the nations to which they were led away as captives. For I have crushed their heart, which fornicated and withdrew from me, and their eyes, which fornicated after their idols. And they will be displeased with themselves over the evils that they have done by all their abominations.
9 E aqueles que escaparem de vós se lembrarão de mim entre as nações para onde forem levados cativos, porque eu estou quebrantado com seu coração indecente, que se afastou de mim, e com seus olhos, que vão se prostituindo após os seus ídolos; e detestarão a si mesmos, por causa das maldades que cometeram em todas as suas abominações.
10 And they shall know that I, the Lord, have not spoken in vain, that I would do this evil to them.”
10 E saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, e que eu não tenho dito em vão que faria este mal a eles.
11 Thus says the Lord God: “Strike with your hand, and stomp with your foot, and say: ‘Alas, to all the abominations of the evils of the house of Israel!’ For they will fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.
11 Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Bate com a tua mão, e marca com o teu pé, e dize: Ai! Por todas as más abominações da casa de Israel! Porque cairão pela espada, pela fome, e pela peste.
12 Whoever is far away will die of pestilence. But whoever is near will fall by the sword. And whoever remains and is besieged will die by famine. And I will fulfill my indignation among them.
12 Aquele que estiver longe morrerá da peste, e aquele que estiver perto cairá pela espada; e o que remanescer e estiver sitiado morrerá de fome; assim eu cumprirei a minha fúria sobre eles.
13 And you shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain will be in the midst of your idols, all around your altars, on every exalted hill, and on the summits of all the mountains, and under every dense tree, and under every leafy oak: the places where they burned sweet-smelling incense to all their idols.
13 Então, sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR, quando os seus homens mortos estiverem entre seus ídolos, ao redor dos seus altares, sobre toda colina alta, em todos os topos dos montes, e debaixo de toda a árvore verde, e debaixo de todo o carvalho espesso, no lugar onde ofereciam doce sabor a todos os seus ídolos.
14 And I will extend my hand over them. And I will make the earth desolate and destitute: from the desert of Riblah to all their dwelling places. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
14 Assim eu estenderei a minha mão sobre eles, e farei a terra desolada, sim, mais desolada do que o deserto que fica em direção a Dibla, em todas as suas habitações; e eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.
