1 Now Joshua was old and well along in years, and the LORD said to him, “You are old and well along in years, but very much of the land remains to be possessed.
1 Era, porém, Josué já velho, entrado em dias; e disse-lhe o SENHOR: Já estás velho, entrado em dias; e ainda muitíssima terra ficou para possuir.
2 This is the land that remains:
2 A terra que ainda fica é esta: Todos os termos dos filisteus e toda a Gesur;
3 All the territory of the Philistines and the Geshurites, from the Shihor east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north (considered to be Canaanite territory)—that of the five Philistine rulers of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, as well as that of the Avvites;
3 Desde Sior, que está em frente ao Egito, até ao termo de Ecrom para o norte, que se diz ser dos cananeus; cinco príncipes dos filisteus; o gazeu, e o asdodeu, o asqueloneu, o giteu, e o ecroneu, e os aveus;
4 to the south, all the land of the Canaanites, from Mearah of the Sidonians to Aphek, as far as the border of the Amorites;
4 Desde o sul, toda a terra dos cananeus, e Meara, que é dos sidônios; até Afeca, até ao termo dos amorreus;
5 the land of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon to the east, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath.
5 Como também a terra dos gebalitas, e todo o Líbano, para o nascente do sol, desde Baal-Gade, ao pé do monte Hermom, até a entrada de Hamate;
6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim—all the Sidonians—I Myself will drive out before the Israelites. Be sure to divide it by lot as an inheritance to Israel, as I have commanded you.
6 Todos os que habitam nas montanhas desde o Líbano até Misrefote-Maim, todos os sidônios; eu os lançarei de diante dos filhos de Israel; tão-somente reparte a terra em herança a Israel, como já te mandei.
7 Now therefore divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
7 Reparte, pois, agora esta terra por herança às nove tribos, e à meia tribo de Manassés,
8 The other half of Manasseh, along with the Reubenites and Gadites, had received the inheritance Moses had given them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the LORD had assigned to them:
8 Com a qual os rubenitas e os gaditas já receberam a sua herança, além do Jordão para o oriente, assim como já lhes tinha dado Moisés, servo do Senhor.
9 The area from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,
9 Desde Aroer, que está à beira do ribeiro de Arnom, e a cidade que está no meio do vale, e toda a campina de Medeba até Dibom;
10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the Ammonites;
10 E todas as cidades de Siom, rei dos amorreus, que reinou em Hesbom, até ao termo dos filhos de Amom;
11 also Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah—
11 E Gileade, e o termo dos gesureus, e dos maacateus, e todo o monte Hermom, e toda a Basã até Salcá;
12 the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had remained as a remnant of the Rephaim. Moses had struck them down and dispossessed them,
12 Todo o reino de Ogue em Basã, que reinou em Astarote e em Edrei; este ficou do restante dos gigantes que Moisés feriu e expulsou.
13 but the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites. So Geshur and Maacath dwell among the Israelites to this day.
13 Porém os filhos de Israel não expulsaram os gesureus, nem os maacateus; antes Gesur e Maacate ficaram habitando no meio de Israel até ao dia de hoje.
14 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, just as He had promised them.
14 Tão-somente à tribo de Levi não deu herança; os sacrifícios queimados do Senhor Deus de Israel são a sua herança, como já lhe tinha falado.
15 This is what Moses had given to the clans of the tribe of Reuben:
15 Assim Moisés deu à tribo dos filhos de Rúben, conforme as suas famílias.
16 The territory from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, to the whole plateau beyond Medeba,
16 E foi o seu limite desde Aroer, que está à beira do ribeiro de Arnom, e a cidade que está no meio do vale, e toda a campina até Medeba;
17 to Heshbon and all its cities on the plateau, including Dibon, Bamoth-baal, Beth-baal-meon,
17 Hesbom e todas as suas cidades, que estão na campina; Dibom, e Bamote-Baal, e Bete-Baal-Meom;
18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
18 E Jasa e Quedemote, e Mefaate;
19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar on the hill in the valley,
19 E Quiriataim e Sibma, e Zerete-Saar, no monte do vale;
20 Beth-peor, the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth—
20 Bete-Peor, e Asdote-Pisga, Bete-Jesimote;
21 all the cities of the plateau and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon until Moses killed him and the chiefs of Midian (Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba), the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.
21 E todas as cidades da campina, e todo o reino de Siom, rei dos amorreus, que reinou em Hesbom, a quem Moisés feriu, como também aos príncipes de Midiã, Evi, e Requém, e Zur, e Hur, e Reba, príncipes de Siom, moradores da terra.
22 The Israelites also killed the diviner Balaam son of Beor along with the others they put to the sword.
22 Também os filhos de Israel mataram à espada a Balaão, filho de Beor, o adivinho, com os outros que por eles foram mortos.
23 And the border of the Reubenites was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the clans of the Reubenites, including the cities and villages.
23 E o termo dos filhos de Rúben ficou sendo o Jordão e os seus limites; esta foi a herança dos filhos de Rúben, segundo as suas famílias, as cidades, e as suas aldeias.
24 This is what Moses had given to the clans of the tribe of Gad:
24 E deu Moisés à tribo de Gade, aos filhos de Gade, segundo as suas famílias.
25 The territory of Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, near Rabbah;
25 E foi o seu termo Jazer, e todas as cidades de Gileade, e metade da terra dos filhos de Amom, até Aroer, que está em frente de Rabá.
26 the territory from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
26 E desde Hesbom até Ramate-Mizpá e Betonim, e desde Maanaim até ao termo de Debir;
27 and in the valley, Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, with the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon (the territory on the east side of the Jordan up to the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth).
27 E no vale Bete-Arã, e Bete-Nimra, e Sucote, Zafom, que ficara do restante do reino de Siom, em Hesbom, o Jordão e o seu termo, até a extremidade do mar de Quinerete além do Jordão para o oriente.
28 This was the inheritance of the clans of the Gadites, including the cities and villages.
28 Esta é a herança dos filhos de Gade segundo as suas famílias, as cidades e as suas aldeias.
29 This is what Moses had given to the clans of the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, to half the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh:
29 Deu também Moisés herança à meia tribo de Manassés; e deu à meia tribo dos filhos de Manassés, segundo as suas famílias.
30 The territory from Mahanaim through all Bashan—all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, including all the towns of Jair that are in Bashan, sixty cities;
30 De maneira que o seu termo foi desde Maanaim, todo o Basã, todo o reino de Ogue, rei de Basã, e todas as aldeias de Jair, que estão em Basã, sessenta cidades,
31 half of Gilead; and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan. All this was for the clans of the descendants of Machir son of Manasseh, that is, half of the descendants of Machir.
31 E metade de Gileade, e Astarote, e Edrei, cidades do reino de Ogue em Basã, deu aos filhos de Maquir, filho de Manassés, a saber, à metade dos filhos de Maquir, segundo as suas famílias.
32 These were the portions Moses had given them on the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan, east of Jericho.
32 Isto é o que Moisés repartiu em herança nas campinas de Moabe, além do Jordão para o oriente de Jericó.
33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just as He had promised them.
33 Porém, à tribo de Levi, Moisés não deu herança; o Senhor Deus de Israel é a sua herança, como já lhe tinha falado.
