1 અનન્તરં યીશુઃ પુનરપિ દૃષ્ટાન્તેન તાન્ અવાદીત્,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 સ્વર્ગીયરાજ્યમ્ એતાદૃશસ્ય નૃપતેઃ સમં, યો નિજ પુત્રં વિવાહયન્ સર્વ્વાન્ નિમન્ત્રિતાન્ આનેતું દાસેયાન્ પ્રહિતવાન્,
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 કિન્તુ તે સમાગન્તું નેષ્ટવન્તઃ|
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 તતો રાજા પુનરપિ દાસાનન્યાન્ ઇત્યુક્ત્વા પ્રેષયામાસ, નિમન્ત્રિતાન્ વદત, પશ્યત, મમ ભેજ્યમાસાદિતમાસ્તે, નિજવ્ટષાદિપુષ્ટજન્તૂન્ મારયિત્વા સર્વ્વં ખાદ્યદ્રવ્યમાસાદિતવાન્, યૂયં વિવાહમાગચ્છત|
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 તથપિ તે તુચ્છીકૃત્ય કેચિત્ નિજક્ષેત્રં કેચિદ્ વાણિજ્યં પ્રતિ સ્વસ્વમાર્ગેણ ચલિતવન્તઃ|
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 અન્યે લોકાસ્તસ્ય દાસેયાન્ ધૃત્વા દૌરાત્મ્યં વ્યવહૃત્ય તાનવધિષુઃ|
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 અનન્તરં સ નૃપતિસ્તાં વાર્ત્તાં શ્રુત્વા ક્રુધ્યન્ સૈન્યાનિ પ્રહિત્ય તાન્ ઘાતકાન્ હત્વા તેષાં નગરં દાહયામાસ|
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 તતઃ સ નિજદાસેયાન્ બભાષે, વિવાહીયં ભોજ્યમાસાદિતમાસ્તે, કિન્તુ નિમન્ત્રિતા જના અયોગ્યાઃ|
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 તસ્માદ્ યૂયં રાજમાર્ગં ગત્વા યાવતો મનુજાન્ પશ્યત, તાવતએવ વિવાહીયભોજ્યાય નિમન્ત્રયત|
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 તદા તે દાસેયા રાજમાર્ગં ગત્વા ભદ્રાન્ અભદ્રાન્ વા યાવતો જનાન્ દદૃશુઃ, તાવતએવ સંગૃહ્યાનયન્; તતોઽભ્યાગતમનુજૈ ર્વિવાહગૃહમ્ અપૂર્ય્યત|
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 તદાનીં સ રાજા સર્વ્વાનભ્યાગતાન્ દ્રષ્ટુમ્ અભ્યન્તરમાગતવાન્; તદા તત્ર વિવાહીયવસનહીનમેકં જનં વીક્ષ્ય તં જગાદ્,
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 હે મિત્ર,ત્વં વિવાહીયવસનં વિના કથમત્ર પ્રવિષ્ટવાન્? તેન સ નિરુત્તરો બભૂવ|
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 તદા રાજા નિજાનુચરાન્ અવદત્, એતસ્ય કરચરણાન્ બદ્ધા યત્ર રોદનં દન્તૈર્દન્તઘર્ષણઞ્ચ ભવતિ, તત્ર વહિર્ભૂતતમિસ્રે તં નિક્ષિપત|
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 ઇત્થં બહવ આહૂતા અલ્પે મનોભિમતાઃ|
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 અનન્તરં ફિરૂશિનઃ પ્રગત્ય યથા સંલાપેન તમ્ ઉન્માથે પાતયેયુસ્તથા મન્ત્રયિત્વા

16 હેરોદીયમનુજૈઃ સાકં નિજશિષ્યગણેન તં પ્રતિ કથયામાસુઃ, હે ગુરો, ભવાન્ સત્યઃ સત્યમીશ્વરીયમાર્ગમુપદિશતિ, કમપિ માનુષં નાનુરુધ્યતે, કમપિ નાપેક્ષતે ચ, તદ્ વયં જાનીમઃ|
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 અતઃ કૈસરભૂપાય કરોઽસ્માકં દાતવ્યો ન વા? અત્ર ભવતા કિં બુધ્યતે? તદ્ અસ્માન્ વદતુ|
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 તતો યીશુસ્તેષાં ખલતાં વિજ્ઞાય કથિતવાન્, રે કપટિનઃ યુયં કુતો માં પરિક્ષધ્વે?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 તત્કરદાનસ્ય મુદ્રાં માં દર્શયત| તદાનીં તૈસ્તસ્ય સમીપં મુદ્રાચતુર્થભાગ આનીતે
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 સ તાન્ પપ્રચ્છ, અત્ર કસ્યેયં મૂર્ત્તિ ર્નામ ચાસ્તે? તે જગદુઃ, કૈસરભૂપસ્ય|
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 તતઃ સ ઉક્તવાન, કૈસરસ્ય યત્ તત્ કૈસરાય દત્ત, ઈશ્વરસ્ય યત્ તદ્ ઈશ્વરાય દત્ત|
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 ઇતિ વાક્યં નિશમ્ય તે વિસ્મયં વિજ્ઞાય તં વિહાય ચલિતવન્તઃ|
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 તસ્મિન્નહનિ સિદૂકિનોઽર્થાત્ શ્મશાનાત્ નોત્થાસ્યન્તીતિ વાક્યં યે વદન્તિ, તે યીશેाરન્તિકમ્ આગત્ય પપ્રચ્છુઃ,

24 હે ગુરો, કશ્ચિન્મનુજશ્ચેત્ નિઃસન્તાનઃ સન્ પ્રાણાન્ ત્યજતિ, તર્હિ તસ્ય ભ્રાતા તસ્ય જાયાં વ્યુહ્ય ભ્રાતુઃ સન્તાનમ્ ઉત્પાદયિષ્યતીતિ મૂસા આદિષ્ટવાન્|
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 કિન્ત્વસ્માકમત્ર કેઽપિ જનાઃ સપ્તસહોદરા આસન્, તેષાં જ્યેષ્ઠ એકાં કન્યાં વ્યવહાત્, અપરં પ્રાણત્યાગકાલે સ્વયં નિઃસન્તાનઃ સન્ તાં સ્ત્રિયં સ્વભ્રાતરિ સમર્પિતવાન્,
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 તતો દ્વિતીયાદિસપ્તમાન્તાશ્ચ તથૈવ ચક્રુઃ|
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 શેષે સાપી નારી મમાર|
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 મૃતાનામ્ ઉત્થાનસમયે તેષાં સપ્તાનાં મધ્યે સા નારી કસ્ય ભાર્ય્યા ભવિષ્યતિ? યસ્માત્ સર્વ્વએવ તાં વ્યવહન્|
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 તતો યીશુઃ પ્રત્યવાદીત્, યૂયં ધર્મ્મપુસ્તકમ્ ઈશ્વરીયાં શક્તિઞ્ચ ન વિજ્ઞાય ભ્રાન્તિમન્તઃ|
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 ઉત્થાનપ્રાપ્તા લોકા ન વિવહન્તિ, ન ચ વાચા દીયન્તે, કિન્ત્વીશ્વરસ્ય સ્વર્ગસ્થદૂતાનાં સદૃશા ભવન્તિ|
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 અપરં મૃતાનામુત્થાનમધિ યુષ્માન્ પ્રતીયમીશ્વરોક્તિઃ,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 "અહમિબ્રાહીમ ઈશ્વર ઇસ્હાક ઈશ્વરો યાકૂબ ઈશ્વર" ઇતિ કિં યુષ્માભિ ર્નાપાઠિ? કિન્ત્વીશ્વરો જીવતામ્ ઈશ્વર:, સ મૃતાનામીશ્વરો નહિ|
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 ઇતિ શ્રુત્વા સર્વ્વે લોકાસ્તસ્યોપદેશાદ્ વિસ્મયં ગતાઃ|
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 અનન્તરં સિદૂકિનામ્ નિરુત્તરત્વવાર્તાં નિશમ્ય ફિરૂશિન એકત્ર મિલિતવન્તઃ,
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 તેષામેકો વ્યવસ્થાપકો યીશું પરીક્ષિતું પપચ્છ,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 હે ગુરો વ્યવસ્થાશાસ્ત્રમધ્યે કાજ્ઞા શ્રેષ્ઠા?
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 તતો યીશુરુવાચ, ત્વં સર્વ્વાન્તઃકરણૈઃ સર્વ્વપ્રાણૈઃ સર્વ્વચિત્તૈશ્ચ સાકં પ્રભૌ પરમેશ્વરે પ્રીયસ્વ,
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 એષા પ્રથમમહાજ્ઞા| તસ્યાઃ સદૃશી દ્વિતીયાજ્ઞૈષા,
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 તવ સમીપવાસિનિ સ્વાત્મનીવ પ્રેમ કુરુ|
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 અનયો ર્દ્વયોરાજ્ઞયોઃ કૃત્સ્નવ્યવસ્થાયા ભવિષ્યદ્વક્તૃગ્રન્થસ્ય ચ ભારસ્તિષ્ઠતિ|
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 અનન્તરં ફિરૂશિનામ્ એકત્ર સ્થિતિકાલે યીશુસ્તાન્ પપ્રચ્છ,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 ખ્રીષ્ટમધિ યુષ્માકં કીદૃગ્બોધો જાયતે? સ કસ્ય સન્તાનઃ? તતસ્તે પ્રત્યવદન્, દાયૂદઃ સન્તાનઃ|
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 તદા સ ઉક્તવાન્, તર્હિ દાયૂદ્ કથમ્ આત્માધિષ્ઠાનેન તં પ્રભું વદતિ ?
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 યથા મમ પ્રભુમિદં વાક્યમવદત્ પરમેશ્વરઃ| તવારીન્ પાદપીઠં તે યાવન્નહિ કરોમ્યહં| તાવત્ કાલં મદીયે ત્વં દક્ષપાર્શ્વ ઉપાવિશ| અતો યદિ દાયૂદ્ તં પ્રભું વદતિ, ર્તિહ સ કથં તસ્ય સન્તાનો ભવતિ?
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 તદાનીં તેષાં કોપિ તદ્વાક્યસ્ય કિમપ્યુત્તરં દાતું નાશક્નોત્;
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 તદ્દિનમારભ્ય તં કિમપિ વાક્યં પ્રષ્ટું કસ્યાપિ સાહસો નાભવત્|
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
