1 अनन्तरं यीशुः पुनरपि दृष्टान्तेन तान् अवादीत्,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 स्वर्गीयराज्यम् एतादृशस्य नृपतेः समं, यो निज पुत्रं विवाहयन् सर्व्वान् निमन्त्रितान् आनेतुं दासेयान् प्रहितवान्,
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 किन्तु ते समागन्तुं नेष्टवन्तः।
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 ततो राजा पुनरपि दासानन्यान् इत्युक्त्वा प्रेषयामास, निमन्त्रितान् वदत, पश्यत, मम भेज्यमासादितमास्ते, निजव्टषादिपुष्टजन्तून् मारयित्वा सर्व्वं खाद्यद्रव्यमासादितवान्, यूयं विवाहमागच्छत।
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 तथपि ते तुच्छीकृत्य केचित् निजक्षेत्रं केचिद् वाणिज्यं प्रति स्वस्वमार्गेण चलितवन्तः।
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 अन्ये लोकास्तस्य दासेयान् धृत्वा दौरात्म्यं व्यवहृत्य तानवधिषुः।
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 अनन्तरं स नृपतिस्तां वार्त्तां श्रुत्वा क्रुध्यन् सैन्यानि प्रहित्य तान् घातकान् हत्वा तेषां नगरं दाहयामास।
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 ततः स निजदासेयान् बभाषे, विवाहीयं भोज्यमासादितमास्ते, किन्तु निमन्त्रिता जना अयोग्याः।
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 तस्माद् यूयं राजमार्गं गत्वा यावतो मनुजान् पश्यत, तावतएव विवाहीयभोज्याय निमन्त्रयत।
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 तदा ते दासेया राजमार्गं गत्वा भद्रान् अभद्रान् वा यावतो जनान् ददृशुः, तावतएव संगृह्यानयन्; ततोऽभ्यागतमनुजै र्विवाहगृहम् अपूर्य्यत।
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 तदानीं स राजा सर्व्वानभ्यागतान् द्रष्टुम् अभ्यन्तरमागतवान्; तदा तत्र विवाहीयवसनहीनमेकं जनं वीक्ष्य तं जगाद्,
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 हे मित्र,त्वं विवाहीयवसनं विना कथमत्र प्रविष्टवान्? तेन स निरुत्तरो बभूव।
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 तदा राजा निजानुचरान् अवदत्, एतस्य करचरणान् बद्धा यत्र रोदनं दन्तैर्दन्तघर्षणञ्च भवति, तत्र वहिर्भूततमिस्रे तं निक्षिपत।
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 इत्थं बहव आहूता अल्पे मनोभिमताः।
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 अनन्तरं फिरूशिनः प्रगत्य यथा संलापेन तम् उन्माथे पातयेयुस्तथा मन्त्रयित्वा
15 — ausente —
16 हेरोदीयमनुजैः साकं निजशिष्यगणेन तं प्रति कथयामासुः, हे गुरो, भवान् सत्यः सत्यमीश्वरीयमार्गमुपदिशति, कमपि मानुषं नानुरुध्यते, कमपि नापेक्षते च, तद् वयं जानीमः।
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 अतः कैसरभूपाय करोऽस्माकं दातव्यो न वा? अत्र भवता किं बुध्यते? तद् अस्मान् वदतु।
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 ततो यीशुस्तेषां खलतां विज्ञाय कथितवान्, रे कपटिनः युयं कुतो मां परिक्षध्वे?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 तत्करदानस्य मुद्रां मां दर्शयत। तदानीं तैस्तस्य समीपं मुद्राचतुर्थभाग आनीते
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 स तान् पप्रच्छ, अत्र कस्येयं मूर्त्ति र्नाम चास्ते? ते जगदुः, कैसरभूपस्य।
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 ततः स उक्तवान, कैसरस्य यत् तत् कैसराय दत्त, ईश्वरस्य यत् तद् ईश्वराय दत्त।
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 इति वाक्यं निशम्य ते विस्मयं विज्ञाय तं विहाय चलितवन्तः।
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 तस्मिन्नहनि सिदूकिनोऽर्थात् श्मशानात् नोत्थास्यन्तीति वाक्यं ये वदन्ति, ते यीशेारन्तिकम् आगत्य पप्रच्छुः,
23 — ausente —
24 हे गुरो, कश्चिन्मनुजश्चेत् निःसन्तानः सन् प्राणान् त्यजति, तर्हि तस्य भ्राता तस्य जायां व्युह्य भ्रातुः सन्तानम् उत्पादयिष्यतीति मूसा आदिष्टवान्।
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 किन्त्वस्माकमत्र केऽपि जनाः सप्तसहोदरा आसन्, तेषां ज्येष्ठ एकां कन्यां व्यवहात्, अपरं प्राणत्यागकाले स्वयं निःसन्तानः सन् तां स्त्रियं स्वभ्रातरि समर्पितवान्,
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 ततो द्वितीयादिसप्तमान्ताश्च तथैव चक्रुः।
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 शेषे सापी नारी ममार।
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 मृतानाम् उत्थानसमये तेषां सप्तानां मध्ये सा नारी कस्य भार्य्या भविष्यति? यस्मात् सर्व्वएव तां व्यवहन्।
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 ततो यीशुः प्रत्यवादीत्, यूयं धर्म्मपुस्तकम् ईश्वरीयां शक्तिञ्च न विज्ञाय भ्रान्तिमन्तः।
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 उत्थानप्राप्ता लोका न विवहन्ति, न च वाचा दीयन्ते, किन्त्वीश्वरस्य स्वर्गस्थदूतानां सदृशा भवन्ति।
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 अपरं मृतानामुत्थानमधि युष्मान् प्रतीयमीश्वरोक्तिः,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 "अहमिब्राहीम ईश्वर इस्हाक ईश्वरो याकूब ईश्वर" इति किं युष्माभि र्नापाठि? किन्त्वीश्वरो जीवताम् ईश्वर:, स मृतानामीश्वरो नहि।
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 इति श्रुत्वा सर्व्वे लोकास्तस्योपदेशाद् विस्मयं गताः।
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 अनन्तरं सिदूकिनाम् निरुत्तरत्ववार्तां निशम्य फिरूशिन एकत्र मिलितवन्तः,
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 तेषामेको व्यवस्थापको यीशुं परीक्षितुं पपच्छ,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 हे गुरो व्यवस्थाशास्त्रमध्ये काज्ञा श्रेष्ठा?
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 ततो यीशुरुवाच, त्वं सर्व्वान्तःकरणैः सर्व्वप्राणैः सर्व्वचित्तैश्च साकं प्रभौ परमेश्वरे प्रीयस्व,
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 एषा प्रथममहाज्ञा। तस्याः सदृशी द्वितीयाज्ञैषा,
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 तव समीपवासिनि स्वात्मनीव प्रेम कुरु।
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 अनयो र्द्वयोराज्ञयोः कृत्स्नव्यवस्थाया भविष्यद्वक्तृग्रन्थस्य च भारस्तिष्ठति।
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 अनन्तरं फिरूशिनाम् एकत्र स्थितिकाले यीशुस्तान् पप्रच्छ,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 ख्रीष्टमधि युष्माकं कीदृग्बोधो जायते? स कस्य सन्तानः? ततस्ते प्रत्यवदन्, दायूदः सन्तानः।
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 तदा स उक्तवान्, तर्हि दायूद् कथम् आत्माधिष्ठानेन तं प्रभुं वदति ?
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 यथा मम प्रभुमिदं वाक्यमवदत् परमेश्वरः। तवारीन् पादपीठं ते यावन्नहि करोम्यहं। तावत् कालं मदीये त्वं दक्षपार्श्व उपाविश। अतो यदि दायूद् तं प्रभुं वदति, र्तिह स कथं तस्य सन्तानो भवति?
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 तदानीं तेषां कोपि तद्वाक्यस्य किमप्युत्तरं दातुं नाशक्नोत्;
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 तद्दिनमारभ्य तं किमपि वाक्यं प्रष्टुं कस्यापि साहसो नाभवत्।
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
