1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how are they multiplied that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
1 Senhor , como tem crescido o número dos meus adversários! São numerosos os que se levantam contra mim.
2 Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
2 São muitos os que dizem de mim: “Não há em Deus salvação para ele.”
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.
3 Porém tu, Senhor , és o meu escudo protetor, és a minha glória e o que exalta a minha cabeça.
4 I cried to the LORD with my voice, and he heard me from his holy hill. Selah.
4 Com a minha voz clamo ao e ele do seu santo monte me responde.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awoke; for the LORD sustained me.
5 Eu me deito e pego no sono; acordo, porque o me sustenta.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me on all sides.
6 Não tenho medo dos milhares que tomam posição contra mim de todos os lados.
7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all my enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
7 Levanta-te, Senhor ! Salva-me, Deus meu, pois desferes um golpe no queixo de todos os meus inimigos e quebras os dentes dos ímpios.
8 Salvation belongeth to the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
8 Do Senhor é a salvação. A tua bênção esteja sobre o teu povo!
