1 A Psalm of Asaph.
1 Deus preside a assembleia dos céus; no meio dos seres celestiais,
2 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
2 “Até quando tomarão decisões injustas que favorecem a causa dos perversos? Interlúdio
3 "How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? [Selah]
3 “Façam justiça ao pobre e ao órfão, defendam os direitos do oprimido e do desamparado.
4 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 Livrem o pobre e o necessitado, libertem-nos das garras dos perversos.
5 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
5 Esses opressores nada entendem; são completos ignorantes! Andam sem rumo na escuridão, enquanto os alicerces da terra estremecem.
6 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 Eu digo: ‘Vocês são deuses, são todos filhos do Altíssimo.
7 I say, "You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
7 Morrerão, porém, como simples mortais e cairão como qualquer governante’”.
8 nevertheless, you shall die like men, and fall like any prince." [ (Psalms 82:9) Arise, O God, judge the earth; for to thee belong all the nations! ]
8 Levanta-te, ó Deus, e julga a terra, pois todas as nações te pertencem.
