1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
1 Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha oração; livra a minha vida do horror do inimigo.
2 Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy,
2 Esconde-me do secreto conselho dos maus e do tumulto dos que praticam a iniquidade,
3 hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the scheming of evildoers,
3 os quais afiaram a sua língua como espadas; e armaram, por suas flechas, palavras amargas,
4 who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows,
4 para de lugares ocultos atirarem sobre o que é reto; disparam sobre ele repentinamente e não temem.
5 shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear.
5 Firmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente e dizem: Quem nos verá?
6 They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, "Who can see us?
6 Fazem indagações maliciosas, inquirem tudo o que se pode inquirir; até o íntimo de cada um e o profundo coração.
7 Who can search out our crimes? We have thought out a cunningly conceived plot." For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep!
7 Mas Deus disparará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.
8 But God will shoot his arrow at them; they will be wounded suddenly.
8 Assim, eles farão com que a sua língua se volte contra si mesmos; todos aqueles que os virem, fugirão.
9 Because of their tongue he will bring them to ruin; all who see them will wag their heads.
9 E todos os homens temerão e anunciarão a obra de Deus; e considerarão prudentemente os seus feitos.
10 Then all men will fear; they will tell what God has wrought, and ponder what he has done. [ (Psalms 64:11) Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD, and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart glory! ]
10 O justo se alegrará no Senhor e confiará nele; e todos os retos de coração se regozijarão.
