1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song.
1 Deus é nosso refúgio e nossa força, sempre pronto a nos socorrer em tempos de aflição.
2 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Portanto, não temeremos quando vierem terremotos e montes desabarem no mar.
3 Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
3 Que o oceano estrondeie e espumeje! Que os montes estremeçam enquanto as águas se elevam! Interlúdio
4 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. [Selah]
4 Um rio e seus canais alegram a cidade de nosso Deus, o santo lugar do Altíssimo.
5 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 Deus habita nessa cidade, e ela não será destruída; desde o amanhecer, Deus a protegerá.
6 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.
6 As nações estão em confusão, e seus reinos desmoronam. A voz de Deus troveja, e a terra se dissolve.
7 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 O S enhor dos Exércitos está entre nós; o Deus de Jacó é nossa fortaleza. Interlúdio
8 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. [Selah]
8 Venham, contemplem as gloriosas obras do S enhor ! Vejam como ele traz destruição sobre o mundo!
9 Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has wrought desolations in the earth.
9 Acaba com as guerras em toda a terra, quebra o arco e parte ao meio a lança, e destrói os escudos com fogo.
10 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire!
10 “Aquietem-se e saibam que eu sou Deus! Serei honrado entre todas as nações; serei honrado no mundo inteiro.”
11 "Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!" [ (Psalms 46:12) The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. [Selah] ]
