1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD.
1 Há no coração do ímpio a voz da transgressão; não há temor de Deus diante de seus olhos.
2 Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 Porque a transgressão o lisonjeia a seus olhos e lhe diz que a sua iniquidade não há de ser descoberta, nem detestada.
3 For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
3 As palavras de sua boca são malícia e dolo; abjurou o discernimento e a prática do bem.
4 The words of his mouth are mischief and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.
4 No seu leito, maquina a perversidade, detém-se em caminho que não é bom, não se despega do mal.
5 He plots mischief while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he spurns not evil.
5 A tua benignidade, Senhor , chega até aos céus, até às nuvens, a tua fidelidade.
6 Thy steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, thy faithfulness to the clouds.
6 A tua justiça é como as montanhas de Deus; os teus juízos, como um abismo profundo. Tu,
7 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God, thy judgments are like the great deep; man and beast thou savest, O LORD.
7 Como é preciosa, ó Deus, a tua benignidade! Por isso, os filhos dos homens se acolhem à sombra das tuas asas.
8 How precious is thy steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of thy wings.
8 Fartam-se da abundância da tua casa, e na torrente das tuas delícias lhes dás de beber.
9 They feast on the abundance of thy house, and thou givest them drink from the river of thy delights.
9 Pois em ti está o manancial da vida; na tua luz, vemos a luz.
10 For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light do we see light.
10 Continua a tua benignidade aos que te conhecem, e a tua justiça, aos retos de coração.
11 O continue thy steadfast love to those who know thee, and thy salvation to the upright of heart!
11 Não me calque o pé da insolência, nem me repila a mão dos ímpios.
12 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. [ (Psalms 36:13) There the evildoers lie prostrate, they are thrust down, unable to rise. ]
12 Tombaram os obreiros da iniquidade; estão derruídos e já não podem levantar-se.
