1 A Song of Ascents.
1 Das profundezas clamo a ti,
2 Out of the depths I cry to thee, O LORD!
2 Escuta, Senhor, a minha voz; estejam alertas os teus ouvidos às minhas súplicas.
3 Lord, hear my voice! Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!
3 Se tu, Senhor , observares iniquidades, quem, Senhor, poderá escapar?
4 If thou, O LORD, shouldst mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?
4 Mas contigo está o perdão, para que sejas temido.
5 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 Aguardo o Senhor , a minha alma o aguarda; eu espero na sua palavra.
6 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;
6 A minha alma anseia pelo Senhor mais do que os guardas anseiam pelo romper da manhã. Mais do que os guardas pelo romper da manhã,
7 my soul waits for the LORD more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.
7 espere Israel no Senhor , pois no nele, temos ampla redenção.
8 O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plenteous redemption. [ (Psalms 130:9) And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. ]
8 É ele quem redime Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.
