1 A Song of Ascents.
1 Olho para os montes e pergunto: “De onde virá o meu socorro?”
2 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come?
2 O meu socorro vem do Senhor Deus, que fez o céu e a terra.
3 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
3 Ele, o seu protetor, está sempre alerta e não deixará que você caia.
4 He will not let your foot be moved, he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 O protetor do povo de Israel nunca dorme, nem cochila.
5 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 O Senhor guardará você; ele está sempre ao seu lado para protegê-lo.
6 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
6 O sol não lhe fará mal de dia, nem a lua, de noite.
7 The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 O Senhor guardará você de todo perigo; ele protegerá a sua vida.
8 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. [ (Psalms 121:9) The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore. ]
8 Ele o guardará quando você for e quando voltar, agora e sempre.
