1 To the choirmaster. Of David.
1 Ao mestre de canto. De Davi. É junto do Senhor que procuro refúgio. Por que dizer-me: Foge, velozmente, para a montanha, como um pássaro;
2 In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains;
2 eis que os maus entesam seu arco, ajustam a flecha na corda, para ferir, de noite, os que têm o coração reto.
3 for lo, the wicked bend the bow, they have fitted their arrow to the string, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
3 Quando os próprios fundamentos se abalam, que pode fazer ainda o justo?
4 if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do"?
4 Entretanto, o Senhor habita em seu templo, o Senhor tem seu trono no céu. Sua vista está atenta, seus olhares observam os filhos dos homens.
5 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes behold, his eyelids test, the children of men.
5 O Senhor sonda o justo como o ímpio, mas aquele que ama a injustiça, ele o aborrece.
6 The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates him that loves violence.
6 Sobre os ímpios ele fará cair uma chuva de fogo e de enxofre; um vento abrasador de procela será o seu quinhão.
7 On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and brimstone; a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. [ (Psalms 11:8) For the LORD is righteous, he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face. ]
7 Porque o Senhor é justo, ele ama a justiça; e os homens retos contemplarão a sua face.
