Isaías 25
Revised Standard Version (RSV) vs BKJ
1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
1 Ó SENHOR, tu és meu Deus. Eu te exaltarei, eu louvarei teu nome, porque tu tens feito maravilhosas coisas. Teus conselhos, dados nos tempos antigos, são fidelidade e verdade.
2 For thou hast made the city a heap, the fortified city a ruin; the palace of aliens is a city no more, it will never be rebuilt.
2 Porque tu tens feito de uma cidade um amontoado, de uma cidade protegida uma ruína. Um palácio de estrangeiros deixou de ser cidade, ela nunca será construída.
3 Therefore strong peoples will glorify thee; cities of ruthless nations will fear thee.
3 Portanto, o povo forte te glorificará, a cidade das terríveis nações te temerá.
4 For thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the blast of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall,
4 Porque tu tens sido uma força para o pobre, uma força para o necessitado em seu sofrimento, um refúgio em meio à tempestade, uma sombra em meio ao calor, quando o poderoso golpe dos que são terríveis é como uma tempestade contra o muro.
5 like heat in a dry place. Thou dost subdue the noise of the aliens; as heat by the shade of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is stilled.
5 Tu farás cessar o tumulto dos estrangeiros como o calor em um lugar seco, como o calor com a sombra de uma nuvem. O ramo que procede dos terríveis será humilhado.
6 On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wine on the lees well refined.
6 E neste monte o SENHOR dos Exércitos fará, para todo o povo, um banquete de coisas gordurosas. Um banquete de vinhos em contato com os sedimentos, de coisas gordurosas cheias de tutano, de vinhos em contato com os sedimentos, e livres de impurezas.
7 And he will destroy on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.
7 E ele destruirá neste monte a face da cobertura, acima de todo o povo, e o véu que está estendido sobre todas as nações.
8 He will swallow up death for ever, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken.
8 Ele irá tragar a morte com vitória, e o Senhor DEUS enxugará as lágrimas de sobre todas as faces, e a repreensão de seu povo ele removerá de sobre toda a terra, porque o SENHOR tem falado isto.
9 It will be said on that day, "Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."
9 E isto será dito naquele dia: Vejam! Este é nosso Deus. Nós temos esperado por ele e ele nos salvará. Este é o SENHOR. Nós temos esperado por ele, e nós seremos felizes e regozijaremos na sua salvação.
10 For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down in his place, as straw is trodden down in a dung-pit.
10 Porque neste monte a mão do SENHOR repousará, e Moabe será pisoteado sob ele, exatamente como a palha é pisoteada para a esterqueira.
11 And he will spread out his hands in the midst of it as a swimmer spreads his hands out to swim; but the LORD will lay low his pride together with the skill of his hands.
11 E ele estenderá suas mãos no meio deles, como aquele que nada estende suas mãos para nadar. E ele abaterá o orgulho deles juntamente com os produtos do despojo de suas mãos.
12 And the high fortifications of his walls he will bring down, lay low, and cast to the ground, even to the dust.
12 E a fortificação, do alto forte de teus muros, ele derrubará, esperará pelo momento adequado e trará ao chão, ao pó.
