1 The oracle concerning Tyre. Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for Tyre is laid waste, without house or haven! From the land of Cyprus it is revealed to them.
1 Sentença contra Tiro. Lamentem, navios de Társis, porque Tiro foi destruída, a ponto de não haver nela casa nenhuma, nem ancoradouro. Da terra de Chipre lhes foi revelado isto.
2 Be still, O inhabitants of the coast, O merchants of Sidon; your messengers passed over the sea
2 Calem-se, moradores do litoral, vocês que foram enriquecidos pelos mercadores de Sidom, navegando pelo mar.
3 and were on many waters; your revenue was the grain of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile; you were the merchant of the nations.
3 Através das vastas águas, você recebeu o cereal dos canais do Egito e a colheita do Nilo, e você, ó Tiro, se tornou a feira das nações.
4 Be ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying: "I have neither travailed nor given birth, I have neither reared young men nor brought up virgins."
4 Fique envergonhada, ó Sidom, porque o mar, a fortaleza do mar, fala, dizendo: “Não tive dores de parto, não dei à luz, não criei rapazes, nem eduquei moças.”
5 When the report comes to Egypt, they will be in anguish over the report about Tyre.
5 Quando a notícia a respeito de Tiro chegar ao Egito, eles ficarão angustiados.
6 Pass over to Tarshish, wail, O inhabitants of the coast!
6 Fujam para Társis! Lamentem, moradores do litoral.
7 Is this your exultant city whose origin is from days of old, whose feet carried her to settle afar?
7 É esta a cidade de vocês que andava exultante, cuja origem é de tempos antigos, cujos pés a levaram até longe para se estabelecer?
8 Who has purposed this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the honored of the earth?
8 Quem decretou isso contra Tiro, a cidade distribuidora de coroas, cujos mercadores são príncipes e cujos negociantes são os mais nobres da terra?
9 The LORD of hosts has purposed it, to defile the pride of all glory, to dishonor all the honored of the earth.
9 O Senhor dos Exércitos decretou isso, para abater o orgulho de toda beleza e humilhar os mais nobres da terra.
10 Overflow your land like the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no restraint any more.
10 Percorra livremente como o rio Nilo a sua terra, ó filha de Társis; já não há quem a restrinja.
11 He has stretched out his hand over the sea, he has shaken the kingdoms; the LORD has given command concerning Canaan to destroy its strongholds.
11 O Senhor estendeu a mão sobre o mar e abalou os reinos; deu ordens contra Canaã, para que as suas fortalezas fossem destruídas.
12 And he said: "You will no more exult, O oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon; arise, pass over to Cyprus, even there you will have no rest."
12 Ele disse: “Nunca mais você irá se alegrar, ó oprimida virgem filha de Sidom! Levante-se, vá até Chipre, mas nem ali você terá descanso.”
13 Behold the land of the Chalde'ans! This is the people; it was not Assyria. They destined Tyre for wild beasts. They erected their siegetowers, they razed her palaces, they made her a ruin.
13 Eis a terra dos caldeus, povo que não existe mais e que a Assíria havia destinado para os animais do deserto. Eles levantaram suas torres, arrasaram os palácios de Tiro e a deixaram em ruínas.
14 Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is laid waste.
14 Lamentem, navios de Társis, porque aquela que era a fortaleza de vocês foi destruída!
15 In that day Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, like the days of one king. At the end of seventy years, it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the harlot:
15 Naquele dia, Tiro ficará no esquecimento por setenta anos, o tempo de vida de um rei. Mas no fim dos setenta anos acontecerá com Tiro o que diz a canção da prostituta:
16 "Take a harp, go about the city, O forgotten harlot! Make sweet melody, sing many songs, that you may be remembered."
16 “Pegue a harpa, rodeie a cidade, ó prostituta esquecida; toque bem, cante muitas canções, para que se lembrem de você.”
17 At the end of seventy years, the LORD will visit Tyre, and she will return to her hire, and will play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
17 Passados os setenta anos, o Senhor se lembrará de Tiro, e ela voltará ao seu ofício e se prostituirá com todos os reinos da terra.
18 Her merchandise and her hire will be dedicated to the LORD; it will not be stored or hoarded, but her merchandise will supply abundant food and fine clothing for those who dwell before the LORD.
18 O ganho e o salário de sua impureza serão dedicados ao Senhor . Não serão armazenados, nem guardados, mas o seu ganho será para os que habitam diante do Senhor , para que tenham comida em abundância e roupas finas.
