1 And the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hana'ni against Ba'asha, saying,
1 O Senhor Deus falou com o profeta Jeú, filho de Hanani, e lhe deu esta mensagem a respeito de Baasa:
2 "Since I exalted you out of the dust and made you leader over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jerobo'am, and have made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins,
2 “Você não era ninguém, mas eu fiz com que você se tornasse o chefe do meu povo de Israel. E agora você pecou como Jeroboão e fez o meu povo pecar. Os pecados deles me fizeram ficar irado ,
3 behold, I will utterly sweep away Ba'asha and his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat.
3 e por isso vou acabar com você e com a sua família, como fiz com Jeroboão.
4 Any one belonging to Ba'asha who dies in the city the dogs shall eat; and any one of his who dies in the field the birds of the air shall eat."
4 As pessoas da sua família que morrerem na cidade serão comidas pelos cachorros, e aquelas que morrerem nos campos serão comidas pelos urubus.”
5 Now the rest of the acts of Ba'asha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
5 Todas as outras coisas que Baasa fez e todos os seus atos de coragem estão escritos na História dos Reis de Israel .
6 And Ba'asha slept with his fathers, and was buried at Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his stead.
6 Baasa morreu e foi sepultado em Tirza, e o seu filho Elá ficou como rei no lugar dele.
7 Moreover the word of the LORD came by the prophet Jehu the son of Hana'ni against Ba'asha and his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jerobo'am, and also because he destroyed it.
7 O profeta Jeú deu aquela mensagem do Senhor Deus a respeito de Baasa e da sua família por causa dos pecados que Baasa havia cometido contra o Senhor . Ele fez com que o Senhor ficasse irado não somente por causa do mal que praticou, como o rei Jeroboão havia feito antes dele, mas também porque ele matou toda a família de Jeroboão.
8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Ba'asha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two years.
8 No ano vinte e seis do reinado de Asa em Judá, Elá, filho de Baasa, se tornou rei de Israel e governou dois anos em Tirza.
9 But his servant Zimri, commander of half his chariots, conspired against him. When he was at Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah,
9 Zinri, um dos seus oficiais, que comandava a metade dos seus carros de guerra, fez uma conspiração contra ele. Certo dia em Tirza, Elá estava se embebedando na casa de Arsa, que era o administrador do palácio.
10 Zimri came in and struck him down and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.
10 Zinri entrou na casa, matou Elá e ficou no lugar dele como rei. Isso aconteceu no ano vinte e sete do reinado de Asa em Judá.
11 When he began to reign, as soon as he had seated himself on his throne, he killed all the house of Ba'asha; he did not leave him a single male of his kinsmen or his friends.
11 Assim que Zinri se tornou rei, matou todas as pessoas da família de Baasa. Todos os seus parentes do sexo masculino e todos os seus amigos foram mortos.
12 Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Ba'asha, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke against Ba'asha by Jehu the prophet,
12 E assim Zinri matou toda a família de Baasa, de acordo com aquilo que o Senhor , por meio do profeta Jeú, tinha dito a respeito de Baasa.
13 for all the sins of Ba'asha and the sins of Elah his son which they sinned, and which they made Israel to sin, provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their idols.
13 Por terem adorado ídolos e por terem feito com que o povo de Israel pecasse, Baasa e o seu filho Elá haviam feito o Senhor , o Deus de Israel, ficar irado .
14 Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
14 Todas as outras coisas que Elá fez estão escritas na História dos Reis de Israel .
15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the troops were encamped against Gib'bethon, which belonged to the Philistines,
15 No ano vinte e sete do reinado de Asa em Judá, Zinri foi rei de todo o povo de Israel, em Tirza, durante sete dias. Os soldados israelitas estavam cercando a cidade de Gibetom, na terra dos filisteus.
16 and the troops who were encamped heard it said, "Zimri has conspired, and he has killed the king"; therefore all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.
16 Eles souberam que Zinri havia feito uma conspiração contra o rei e que o havia assassinado. Por isso, naquele mesmo dia ali no acampamento, eles escolheram Onri, o comandante do exército, como rei de Israel.
17 So Omri went up from Gib'bethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
17 Onri e todos os seus soldados saíram de Gibetom e foram cercar a cidade de Tirza.
18 And when Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the king's house, and burned the king's house over him with fire, and died,
18 Quando Zinri viu que a cidade havia sido conquistada, foi para a fortaleza interna do palácio, pôs fogo no palácio e morreu queimado.
19 because of his sins which he committed, doing evil in the sight of the LORD, walking in the way of Jerobo'am, and for his sin which he committed, making Israel to sin.
19 Isso aconteceu por causa dos seus pecados contra Deus, o Senhor . Ele seguiu o exemplo de Jeroboão, que havia sido rei antes dele; Zinri desagradou ao Senhor por causa dos seus pecados e por ter feito o povo de Israel pecar.
20 Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and the conspiracy which he made, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
20 Todas as outras coisas que Zinri fez e também a sua conspiração estão escritas na História dos Reis de Israel .
21 Then the people of Israel were divided into two parts; half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king, and half followed Omri.
21 O povo de Israel estava dividido em dois partidos. A metade deles queria fazer de Tibni, filho de Ginate, o seu rei, e os outros estavam do lado de Onri.
22 But the people who followed Omri overcame the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath; so Tibni died, and Omri became king.
22 Mas aqueles que estavam a favor de Onri ganharam; Tibni morreu, e Onri se tornou rei.
23 In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel, and reigned for twelve years; six years he reigned in Tirzah.
23 No ano trinta e um do reinado de Asa em Judá, Onri se tornou rei de Israel e governou doze anos. Nos seis primeiros anos ele governou em Tirza.
24 He bought the hill of Sama'ria from Shemer for two talents of silver; and he fortified the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, Sama'ria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill.
24 Então comprou o monte de Samaria de um homem chamado Semer por mais ou menos setenta quilos de prata. Onri fez defesas militares no monte, construiu ali uma cidade e a chamou de Samaria, por causa do nome de Semer, que havia sido o primeiro dono do monte.
25 Omri did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and did more evil than all who were before him.
25 Onri pecou contra o Senhor Deus mais do que todos aqueles que haviam sido reis antes dele.
26 For he walked in all the way of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, and in the sins which he made Israel to sin, provoking the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger by their idols.
26 Como Jeroboão havia feito antes dele, Onri fez com que o Senhor , o Deus de Israel, ficasse irado por causa dos seus pecados e por fazer o povo de Israel adorar ídolos.
27 Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and the might that he showed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
27 Todas as outras coisas que Onri fez e todas as suas realizações estão escritas na História dos Reis de Israel .
28 And Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Sama'ria; and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.
28 Onri morreu e foi sepultado em Samaria, e o seu filho Acabe ficou como rei no lugar dele.
29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel, and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Sama'ria twenty-two years.
29 No ano trinta e oito do reinado de Asa em Judá, Acabe, filho de Onri, se tornou rei de Israel e governou vinte e dois anos em Samaria.
30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD more than all that were before him.
30 Ele pecou contra o Senhor Deus mais do que qualquer um dos que haviam sido reis antes dele.
31 And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, he took for wife Jez'ebel the daughter of Ethba'al king of the Sido'nians, and went and served Ba'al, and worshiped him.
31 Não se contentando em pecar como o rei Jeroboão, Acabe fez pior e casou com Jezabel, filha de Etbaal, rei de Sidom, e adorou o deus Baal .
32 He erected an altar for Ba'al in the house of Ba'al, which he built in Sama'ria.
32 Acabe construiu um templo para Baal em Samaria, fez para ele um altar e o colocou no templo.
33 And Ahab made an Ashe'rah. Ahab did more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
33 Levantou também um poste da deusa Aserá e assim fez mais coisas para deixar o Senhor Deus irado do que todos os reis de Israel haviam feito antes dele.
34 In his days Hi'el of Bethel built Jericho; he laid its foundation at the cost of Abi'ram his first-born, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.
34 Durante o reinado de Acabe, Hiel, que era de Betel, reconstruiu a cidade de Jericó. E, como o Senhor tinha dito por meio de Josué, filho de Num, Hiel perdeu Abirão, o seu filho mais velho, quando colocou os alicerces de Jericó, e perdeu Segube, o seu filho mais novo, quando colocou os portões.
