1 And he shewed me, Joshua the high priest, standing before the messenger of Yahweh,and, the Accuser, standing at his right hand, to accuse him.
1 Ele me mostrou o sumo sacerdote Josué, o qual estava diante do anjo do Senhor, e Satanás estava à sua mão direita, para se lhe opor.
2 Then said Yahweh unto the Accuser, Yahweh rebuke thee, O Accuser, Yea Yahweh rebuke thee, he who is choosing Jerusalem,Is not, this, a brand snatched out of the fire?
2 Mas o anjo do Senhor disse a Satanás: Que o Senhor te repreenda, ó Satanás; sim, o Senhor, que escolheu Jerusalém, te repreenda! Não é este um tição tirado do fogo?
3 Now, Joshua, was clothed with filthy garments,though standing before the messenger.
3 Ora Josué, vestido de trajes sujos, estava em pé diante do anjo.
4 Then responded he and spake unto those who were standing before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from off him; and he said unto him, See! I have caused to pass from off thee, thine iniquity, And will cause thee to be clothed in robes of state.
4 Então falando este, ordenou aos que estavam diante dele, dizendo: Tirai-lhe estes trajes sujos. E a Josué disse: Eis que tenho feito com que passe de ti a tua iniqüidade, e te vestirei de trajes festivos.
5 Then said I, Let them put a clean turban upon his head,So they put the clean turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments, and, the messenger of Yahweh, was standing up.
5 Também disse eu: Ponham-lhe sobre a cabeça uma mitra limpa. Puseram-lhe, pois, sobre a cabeça uma mitra limpa, e vestiram-no; e o anjo do Senhor estava ali de pe.
6 So then the messenger of Yahweh did solemnly affirm unto Joshua, saying:
6 E o anjo do Senhor protestou a Josué, dizendo:
7 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, If, in my ways, thou wilt walk, and if, of my charge, thou wilt keep charge, Then, even thou, shalt govern my house, Moreover also, thou shalt have charge of my courts,and I will give thee free access among these who stand by.
7 Assim diz o Senhor dos exércitos: Se andares nos meus caminhos, e se observares as minhas ordenanças, também tu julgarás a minha casa, e também guardarás os meus átrios, e te darei lugar entre os que estão aqui.
8 Hear, I pray thee, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy friends who are sitting before thee, for, men to serve as signs, they are,For behold me! bringing in my servant, the Bud;
8 Ouve, pois, Josué, sumo sacerdote, tu e os teus companheiros que se assentam diante de ti, porque são homens portentosos; eis que eu farei vir o meu servo, o Renovo.
9 For lo! the stone which I have set before Joshua, Upon one stone, are Seven (pairs of) Eyes,Behold me! cutting the engraving thereof, declareth Yahweh of hosts. So will I take away the iniquity of that land in one day.
9 Pois eis aqui a pedra que pus diante de Josué; sobre esta pedra única estão sete olhos. Eis que eu esculpirei a sua escultura, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, e tirarei a iniqüidade desta terra num só dia.
10 In that day, declareth Yahweh of hosts, Ye shall invite one another,
10 Naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, cada um de vós convidará o seu vizinho para debaixo da videira e para debaixo da figueira.
