1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:
1 O Senhor disse a Moisés: "Dize a Aarão o seguinte:
2 Speak unto Aaron, and thou shalt say unto him,When thou lightest up the lamps, over against the front of the lampstand, shall the seven lamps give light.
2 quando colocares as lâmpadas dispô-las-ás sobre o candelabro de modo que as sete lâmpadas projetem sua luz para a frente do mesmo candelabro."
3 And Aaron did so, over against the front of the lampstand, lighted he up the lamps thereof,As Yahweh commanded Moses,
3 Aarão assim fez, e colocou as lâmpadas na parte dianteira do candelabro, como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
4 Now, this, was the work of the lampstandbeaten work of gold both in the shaft thereof and in the flowers thereof, was it beaten work, according to the appearance which Yahweh caused to appear unto Moses, so, made he the lampstand.
4 O candelabro era feito de ouro batido: seu pé, suas flores, tudo era de ouro batido; e foi feito segundo o modelo que o Senhor tinha mostrado a Moisés.
5 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
5 O Senhor disse a Moisés o seguinte:
6 Take the Levites, out of the midst of the sons of Israel,and thou shalt purify them.
6 "Toma os levitas do meio dos israelitas e purifica-os.
7 And, thus, shalt thou do unto them, to purify them, sprinkle upon them sin-cleansing water,then shall they, cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and shall wash their clothes and so make themselves pure.
7 Eis como farás para purificá-los: asperge-os com a água da expiação e eles passem uma navalha sobre todo o corpo, lavem as suas vestes e purifiquem-se a si mesmos.
8 Then shall they take a choice young bullock, with the meal-offering thereof even fine meal overflowed with oil,and a second choice young bullock, shalt thou take. as a sin-bearer.
8 Tomem então um touro com a sua oblação de flor de farinha amassada com óleo; e tomarás tu um segundo touro em sacrifício pelo pecado.
9 Then shalt thou bring the Levites near, before the tent of meeting,and shalt call together all the assembly of the sons of Israel;
9 Farás aproximarem-se os levitas diante da tenda de reunião, e convocarás toda a assembléia dos israelitas.
10 and shalt bring the Levites near before Yahweh,and the sons of Israel shall lean their hands upon the Levites;
10 Mandarás os levitas que se aproximem diante do Senhor, e os israelitas porão suas mãos sobre eles.
11 and Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Yahweh, from among the sons of Israel,so shall they be for performing the laborious work of Yahweh.
11 Aarão oferecerá os levitas ao Senhor, como oferta agitada, em nome dos israelitas, a fim de que eles sejam destinados ao serviço do Senhor.
12 And, the Levites, shall lean their hands upon the head of the bullocks; then make thou of the one a sin-bearer and of the other an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over the Levites.
12 Os levitas porão suas mãos sobre as cabeças dos touros, dos quais oferecerá um em sacrifício pelo pecado, e o outro em holocausto ao Senhor para fazer a expiação em favor dos levitas.
13 Thus shalt thou cause the Levites to stand before Aaron and before his sons,thus shalt thou offer them as a wave-offering unto Yahweh;
13 Mandarás que os levitas se conservem de pé diante de Aarão e seus filhos, e os apresentarás em oferta agitada ao Senhor.
14 thus shalt thou separate the Levites out of the midst of the sons of Israel,thus shall the Levites become mine.
14 Separarás desse modo os levitas do meio dos israelitas, e eles serão meus.
15 And after that, shall the Levites enter to do the labour of the tent of meeting,so shalt thou purify them, and offer them as a wave-offering,
15 Depois disso, virão para a tenda de reunião para me servirem. Assim os purificarás e os apresentarás em oferta agitada.
16 For, given, given, they are unto me, out of the midst of the sons of Israel,instead of every firstborn that a mother beareth from among the sons of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
16 Porque eles me são inteiramente reservados entre os israelitas; eu os tomei para mim em lugar de todo primogênito, daqueles que nascem primeiro entre os filhos de Israel.
17 For mine, is every firstborn among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts,on the day when I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, did I hallow them unto me.
17 Porque todo primogênito entre os israelitas, homem ou animal, é meu, eu os consagrei a mim no dia em que feri os primogênitos no Egito.
18 Therefore have I taken the Levites,instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel;
18 Eu tomei os levitas em lugar de todos os primogênitos dos israelitas,
19 therefore have I given the Levites as a gift unto Aaron and unto his sons, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the laborious work of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to put a propitiatory-covering over the sons of Israel,so shall there be among the sons of Israel, no plague, by the coming nigh of the sons of Israel unto the sanctuary.
19 e, tirados do meio do povo, dei-os inteiramente a Aarão e seus filhos para fazerem o serviço dos israelitas na tenda de reunião, e para fazerem a expiação em favor dos israelitas, de sorte que estes últimos não sejam feridos por nenhuma praga quando se aproximarem do santuário."
20 And Moses and Aaron and all the assembly of the sons of Israel did thus unto the Levites,according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses as touching the Levites, so, did the sons of Israel unto them.
20 Moisés, Aarão e toda a assembléia dos israelitas fizeram, pois, acerca dos levitas, tudo o que o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés a seu respeito. Assim fizeram os filhos de Israel:
21 And the Levites accepted the cleansing from sin and washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Yahweh,and Aaron put a propitiatory-covering over them to make them pure.
21 purificaram-se e lavaram suas vestes. Aarão apresentou-os em oferta agitada diante do Senhor, e fez a expiação por eles a fim de purificá-los.
22 And after that, went the Levites in to do their laborious work in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons,as Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so, did they unto them.
22 E vieram em seguida os levitas para a tenda de reunião para fazer o seu serviço, em presença de Aarão e seus filhos. Como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés acerca dos levitas, assim se fez.
23 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying;
23 O Senhor disse a Moisés o seguinte:
24 This is what concerneth the Levites,from twenty-five years old and upwards, shall they enter to take rank in the host, for doing the laborious work of the tent of meeting;
24 "Esta é a lei relativa aos levitas: desde os vinte e cinco anos para cima, o levita será admitido ao serviço na tenda de reunião.
25 but from the age of fifty years, shall they retire from taking rank in the labour, and shall do laborious work no more;
25 A partir dos cinqüenta anos, renunciará às suas funções e cessará de servir.
26 yet shall they wait upon their brethren in the tent of meeting, by keeping charge, but laborious work, shall they not perform,thus, shalt thou do unto the Levites, as touching their charges.
26 Ajudará seus irmãos na tenda de reunião, zelando pelo que lhe foi confiado; mas não exercerá mais as suas funções. Desse modo disporás os levitas nos seus encargos.
