1 How is seated alone, the city that abounded with people, hath become as a widow,She who abounded among the nations was a princess among provinces, hath come under tribute.
1 Como está deserta a cidade, antes tão cheia de gente! Como se parece com uma viúva, a que antes era grandiosa entre as nações! A que era a princesa das províncias agora tornou-se uma escrava.
2 She, weepeth sore, in the night, and, her tear, is on her cheek, She hath none to comfort her, of all her lovers,All her friends, have betrayed her, have become her foes.
2 Chora amargamente à noite, as lágrimas rolam por seu rosto. De todos os seus amantes nenhum a consola. Todos os seus amigos a traíram; tornaram-se seus inimigos.
3 Carried away captive is Judahbecause of oppression, and because of great servitude, She, hath remained among the nations, hath found no place of rest,All her pursuers, have overtaken her, between straits.
3 Em aflição e sob trabalhos forçados, Judá foi levado ao exílio. Vive entre as nações sem encontrar repouso. Todos os que a perseguiram a capturaram em meio ao seu desespero.
4 The ways to Zion, are mourning, because none come to her appointed feasts, All her gates, are desolate, her priests, are sighing,her virgins, are grieved, and, she, it is bitter for her.
4 Os caminhos para Sião pranteiam, porque ninguém comparece às suas festas fixas. Todas as suas portas estão desertas, seus sacerdotes gemem, suas moças se entristecem, e ela se encontra em angústia profunda.
5 Her adversaries have become chief, her foes, are at ease, for, Yahweh, hath grieved her, because of the multitude of her transgressions,Her children, have gone into captivity, before the adversary.
5 Seus adversários são os seus chefes; seus inimigos estão tranqüilos. O Senhor lhe trouxe tristeza por causa dos seus muitos pecados. Seus filhos foram levados ao exílio, prisioneiros dos adversários.
6 Thus hath gone forth from the daughter of Zion, all that adorned her,Her princes have become like harts that have found no pasture, and have gone strengthless before the pursuer.
6 Todo o esplendor fugiu da cidade de Sião. Seus líderes são como corças que não encontram pastagem; sem forças fugiram diante do perseguidor.
7 Jerusalem hath remembered in the days of her humiliation and her fleeingsall her precious things, which have existed from the days of old,Now that her people have been falling into the hand of the adversary, with none to help her, the adversaries have seen her, have mocked over her sabbath-keepings.
7 Nos dias de sua aflição e de seu desnorteio Jerusalém se lembra de todos os tesouros que lhe pertenciam nos tempos passados. Quando o seu povo caiu nas mãos do inimigo, ninguém veio ajudá-la. Seus inimigos olharam para ela e zombaram da sua queda.
8 Jerusalem, hath grievously sinned, For this cause, unto exile, hath she been delivered,All who used to honour her, have despised her, for they have descried her unseemliness, yea, she herself, hath sighed, and turned back.
8 Jerusalém cometeu graves pecados; por isso tornou-se impura. Todos os que a honravam agora a desprezam, porque viram a sua nudez; ela mesma geme e se desvia deles.
9 Her impurity, is in her skirts, She hath not remembered her hereafter, Therefore hath she come down wonderfully, none to comfort her,Behold, O Yahweh, my humiliation, that the foe, hath made himself great.
9 Sua impureza prende-se às suas saias; ela não esperava que chegaria o seu fim. Sua queda foi surpreendente; ninguém veio consolá-la. "Olha, Senhor, para a minha aflição, pois o inimigo triunfou. "
10 His hand, hath the adversary spread out, over all her precious things,for she saw that, the nations, entered her sanctuary, as to whom thou didst command they should not enterin the convocationunto thee!
10 O adversário saqueia todos os seus tesouros; ela viu nações pagãs entrarem em seu santuário, sendo que tu as tinhas proibido de participar das tuas assembléias.
11 All her people, are sighing, seeking bread, They have given their precious things for food, to bring back life,Behold, O Yahweh, and discern, that I have become worthless.
11 Todo o seu povo se lamenta enquanto vai em busca de pão; e para sobreviverem, trocam os tesouros por comida. "Olha, Senhor, e considera, pois tenho sido desprezada. "
12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Look around and see, whether there is pain like my pain, which is severely dealt out to me,in that Yahweh, hath caused grief, in the day of the glow of his anger?
12 "Vocês não se comovem, todos vocês que passam por aqui? Olhem ao redor e vejam se há sofrimento maior do que o que me foi imposto e que o Senhor trouxe sobre mim no dia em que se acendeu a sua ira.
13 From on high, sent he fire, among my bones, and laid them prostrate,He spread out a net for my feet, he made me turn back, he made me desolate, all the day, faint.
13 Do alto ele fez cair fogo sobre os meus ossos. Armou uma rede para os meus pés e me derrubou de costas. Deixou-me desolada, desfalecida o dia todo.
14 The yoke of my transgressions, hath been bound, by his handThey have intertwined themselves, have come up on my neck, it hath paralysed my strength,My Lord, hath delivered me, into the hands of those against whom I cannot rise up.
14 Os meus pecados foram amarrados num jugo; suas mãos os ataram todos juntos, e os colocaram em meu pescoço; o Senhor abateu a minha força. Ele me entregou àqueles que não consigo vencer.
15 My Lord, hath flouted at all my magnates, in my midst, He hath called against me a host, to crush my young men,A winepress, hath My Lord trodden, to the virgin, the daughter of Judah.
15 O Senhor dispersou todos os guerreiros que me apoiavam; convocou um exército contra mim para destruir os meus jovens. O Senhor pisou no seu lagar a virgem, a cidade de Judá.
16 For these things, am, I, weeping, Mine eye, mine eye, is running down with waters, for, far from me, is any who could comfort, could bring back my life,My sons are amazed, for strong is the foe.
16 É por isso que eu choro; as lágrimas inundam os meus olhos. Ninguém está por perto para consolar-me, não há ninguém que restaure o meu espírito. Meus filhos estão desamparados porque o inimigo prevaleceu. "
17 Zion, hath spread forth, her hands, there is none to comfort her, Yahweh, hath given command, respecting Jacob, unto them who surround himhis adversaries,Jerusalem, hath become as a removed woman, in their midst.
17 Sião estende as mãos suplicantes mas não há quem a console. O Senhor decretou que os vizinhos de Jacó se tornem seus adversários; Jerusalém tornou-se coisa imunda entre eles.
18 Righteous is Yahweh, for, against his bidding, had I rebelled,Hear, I pray you, all ye peoples, and see my pain, My virgins and my young men, have gone into exile.
18 "O Senhor é justo, mas eu me rebelei contra a sua ordem. Ouçam, todos os povos; olhem para o meu sofrimento. Meus jovens e minhas moças foram para o exílio.
19 I called to my lovers, they, deceived me, My priests and mine elders, in the city, have breathed their last,for they sought them food, that they might bring back their life.
19 Chamei os meus aliados, mas eles me traíram. Meus sacerdotes e meus líderes pereceram na cidade, enquanto procuravam comida para poderem sobreviver.
20 See, O Yahweh, that I am in distress, Mine inward parts, are in ferment, My heart is turned within me, for I have obstinately rebelled,Without, bereaveth the sword, Within, is like death,
20 Veja, Senhor, como estou angustiada! Estou atormentada no íntimo, e no meu coração me perturbo pois tenho sido muito rebelde. Lá fora, a espada a todos consome; dentro impera a morte.
21 They have heardthat, sighing am, I, There is none to comfort me, All my foes,having heard of my calamityhave rejoiced, because, thou, hast done it,thou hast brought in the day thou didst proclaim, So let them become like me.
21 Os meus lamentos têm sido ouvidos, mas não há ninguém que me console. Todos os meus inimigos sabem da minha agonia; eles se alegram com o que fizeste. Quem dera trouxesses o dia que anunciaste para que eles ficassem como eu.
22 Let all their wickedness, come in, before thee, and deal thou severely with them, according as thou hast dealt severely with me, for all my transgressions; for many are my sighs, and, my heart, is sick.
22 Que toda a maldade deles seja conhecida diante de ti; faze com eles o que fizeste comigo por causa de todos os meus pecados. Os meus gemidos são muitos e o meu coração desfalece. "
