1 He hath said, If a man send away his wife, and she go from him and become another mans, will he return unto her, again? would not that land be, utterly defiled? And, thou, hast been unchaste with many neighbours, and yet to return unto me! Declareth Yahweh.
1 Eles dizem: Se um homem despedir sua mulher, e ela o deixar, e se ajuntar a outro homem, porventura tornará ele outra vez para ela? Não se poluirá de todo aquela terra? Ora, tu te prostituíste com muitos amantes; mas ainda assim, torna para mim, diz o SENHOR.
2 Lift up thine eyes unto the bare heights and seewhere thou hast not been unchastely embraced! beside the ways, hast thou sat to them, like the Arabian m the desert,and hast defiled the land with thine unchastities, and with thy wickedness.
2 Levanta os teus olhos aos altos, e vê: onde não te prostituíste? Nos caminhos te assentavas para eles, como o árabe no deserto; assim poluíste a terra com as tuas fornicações e com a tua malícia.
3 Therefore have been withholden the showers, And, the latter rain, hath not come,Yet the forehead of an unchaste woman, hast thou, Thou hast refused to be ashamed.
3 Por isso foram retiradas as chuvas, e não houve chuva serôdia; mas tu tens a fronte de uma prostituta, e não queres ter vergonha.
4 Hast thou not from this time, cried unto me, My father! the friend of my youth, art, thou?
4 Ao menos desde agora não chamarás por mim, dizendo: Pai meu, tu és o guia da minha mocidade?
5 Will he maintain his anger to times age-abiding? Will he keep it perpetually? Lo! thou hast spoken thus but hast done wicked things and had thy way!
5 Conservará ele para sempre a sua ira? Ou a guardará continuamente? Eis que tens falado e feito quantas maldades pudeste.
6 And Yahweh said unto me, in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen what apostate Israel, did? She used to go upon every high mountain and beneath every green tree, and commit unchastity there.
6 Disse mais o Senhor nos dias do rei Josias: Viste o que fez a rebelde Israel? Ela foi a todo o monte alto, e debaixo de toda a árvore verde, e ali andou prostituindo-se.
7 And I said, after she had been doing all these things, Unto me, shall thou return? and she returned not,and her treacherous sister Judah saw it!
7 E eu disse: Depois que fizer tudo isto, voltará para mim; mas não voltou; e viu isto a sua aleivosa irmã Judá.
8 Though she saw that for all this, apostate Israel having committed adultery, I had sent her away, and had given a scroll of divorcement unto her, yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but, she also, went and committed unchastity.
8 E vi que, por causa de tudo isto, por ter cometido adultério a rebelde Israel, a despedi, e lhe dei a sua carta de divórcio, que a aleivosa Judá, sua irmã, não temeu; mas se foi e também ela mesma se prostituiu.
9 Yea though it had come to pass that through the levity of her unchastity, she had defiled the land,and committed adultery with Stone and with Tree,
9 E sucedeu que pela fama da sua prostituição, contaminou a terra; porque adulterou com a pedra e com a madeira.
10 yet, in spite of all this, her treacherous sister Judah returned not unto me, with all her heart,but, falsely, Declareth Yahweh.
10 E, contudo, apesar de tudo isso a sua aleivosa irmã Judá não voltou para mim de todo o seu coração, mas falsamente, diz o Senhor.
11 Then said Yahweh unto me,Apostate Israel, hath justified herself,more than treacherous Judah.
11 E o Senhor me disse: Já a rebelde Israel mostrou-se mais justa do que a aleivosa Judá.
12 Go, and proclaim these words, towards the North and sayReturn! thou apostateIsrael, Urgeth Yahweh, I will not lower my face against you,for full of lovingkindness, I am, Declareth Yahweh, I will not maintain unto times age-abiding.
12 Vai, pois, e apregoa estas palavras para o lado norte, e dize: Volta, ó rebelde Israel, diz o Senhor, e não farei cair a minha ira sobre ti; porque misericordioso sou, diz o Senhor, e não conservarei para sempre a minha ira.
13 Only, acknowledge thine iniquity, that against Yahweh thy God, hast thou transgressed,and hast gone hither and thither unto foreigners under every green tree, and unto my voice, ye have not hearkened Declareth Yahweh.
13 Somente reconhece a tua iniqüidade, que transgrediste contra o Senhor teu Deus; e estendeste os teus caminhos aos estranhos, debaixo de toda a árvore verde, e não deste ouvidos à minha voz, diz o Senhor.
14 Return, ye apostate sons, Urgeth Yahweh, for, I, am become your husband,therefore will I take you one of a city, and two of a family, and will bring you to Zion;
14 Convertei-vos, ó filhos rebeldes, diz o Senhor; pois eu vos desposei; e vos tomarei, a um de uma cidade, e a dois de uma família; e vos levarei a Sião.
15 and will give you shepherds according to mine own heart,who will feed you with knowledge and discretion.
15 E dar-vos-ei pastores segundo o meu coração, os quais vos apascentarão com ciência e com inteligência.
16 And it shall come to pass when ye shall be multiplied and become fruitful in the land, in those days, Declareth Yahweh, They shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Neither shall it come up on the heart, Neither shall they remember it, Neither shall they miss it, Neither shall it be made any more.
16 E sucederá que, quando vos multiplicardes e frutificardes na terra, naqueles dias, diz o Senhor, nunca mais se dirá: A arca da aliança do Senhor, nem lhes virá ao coração; nem dela se lembrarão, nem a visitarão; nem se fará outra.
17 At that time, shall they call Jerusalem, The throne of Yahweh, and there shall be gathered unto her all the nationsto the Name of Yahweh, to Jerusalem; and they shall walk no more after the stubbornness of their own wicked heart.
17 Naquele tempo chamarão a Jerusalém o trono do Senhor, e todas as nações se ajuntarão a ela, em nome do Senhor, em Jerusalém; e nunca mais andarão segundo o propósito do seu coração maligno.
18 In those days, shall the house of Judah go unto the house of Israel,that they may enter together out of the land of the North, upon the land which I gave as an inheritance unto your fathers.
18 Naqueles dias andará a casa de Judá com a casa de Israel; e virão juntas da terra do norte, para a terra que dei em herança a vossos pais.
19 Though, I myself, had said,How can I put thee among the sons, And give thee a land to be coveted, An inheritance of beauty, of the hosts of nations? Yet I said, My father, shalt thou call me, And away from me, shalt thou not turn.
19 Mas eu dizia: Como te porei entre os filhos, e te darei a terra desejável, a excelente herança dos exércitos das nações? Mas eu disse: Tu me chamarás meu pai, e de mim não te desviarás.
20 But indeed a wife goeth treacherously from her husband, so, have ye acted treacherously with me, O house of Israel, Declareth Yahweh.
20 Deveras, como a mulher se aparta aleivosamente do seu marido, assim aleivosamente te houveste comigo, ó casa de Israel, diz o Senhor.
21 A voice on the bare heights, is heard, The weeping of the supplications of the sons of Israel,Because they have perverted their way, Have forgotten Yahweh their God.
21 Nos lugares altos se ouviu uma voz, pranto e súplicas dos filhos de Israel; porquanto perverteram o seu caminho, e se esqueceram do Senhor seu Deus.
22 Return ye apostate sons, I will heal your apostasies! Behold us! we have come unto thee, For thou, art Yahweh our God.
22 Voltai, ó filhos rebeldes, eu curarei as vossas rebeliões. Eis-nos aqui, vimos a ti; porque tu és o Senhor nosso Deus.
23 Surely, to falsehood, pertain the hills The noisy throng on the mountains,Surely, in Yahweh our God, is the salvation of Israel!
23 Certamente em vão se confia nos outeiros e na multidão das montanhas; deveras no Senhor nosso Deus está a salvação de Israel.
24 But, the Shameful thing, hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth: Their flocks, and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
24 Porque a confusão devorou o trabalho de nossos pais desde a nossa mocidade; as suas ovelhas e o seu gado, os seus filhos e as suas filhas.
25 We must lie down in our shame And our reproach, be our covering, For, against Yahweh our God, have we sinned, We and our fathers, from our youth even until this day,Neither have we hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh our God.
25 Deitemo-nos em nossa vergonha; e cubra-nos a nossa confusão, porque pecamos contra o Senhor nosso Deus, nós e nossos pais, desde a nossa mocidade até o dia de hoje; e não demos ouvidos à voz do Senhor nosso Deus.
