Jeremias 27

1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word unto Jeremiah, from Yahweh, saying:
1 Logo depois que Zedequias, filho de Josias, se tornou rei de Judá, o Senhor Deus me mandou
2 Thus, said Yahweh unto me, Make thee, bonds and bars, and put them upon thine own neck.
2 fazer uma canga de madeira com tiras de couro e colocar no meu pescoço.
3 Then shalt thou send them unto the king of Edom and unto the king of Moab and unto the king of the sons of Ammon, and unto the king of Tyre and unto the king of Zidon,by the hand of messengers coming into Jerusalem, unto Zedekiah king of Judah.
3 E Deus me disse que mandasse uma mensagem aos reis de Edom, Moabe, Amom, Tiro e Sidom, por meio dos seus embaixadores que tinham vindo a Jerusalém para se encontrar com o rei Zedequias.
4 And thou shall give them charge unto their lords saying,Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, Thus shall ye say unto your lords:
4 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso, o Deus de Israel, me mandou dizer aos embaixadores que dessem aos seus reis a seguinte mensagem de Deus:
5 I, made The earthThe man and the beast that are on the face of the earthBy my great power, And by mine outstretched arm,And gave it to whomsoever was right in mine own eyes.
5 — Eu, com o meu grande poder e com a minha força, criei o mundo, os seres humanos e todos os animais que vivem na terra; e posso dá-los a quem eu quiser.
6 Now, therefore, I, have given all these lands, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon my servant,Moreover also, the wild beast of the field, have I given him, to serve him.
6 Fui eu que dei todas estas nações ao meu servo , o rei Nabucodonosor, da Babilônia, e fiz com que até os animais selvagens trabalhassem para ele.
7 Therefore shall all the nations serve him, and his son, and his sons son,until the time even of his own land, itself arrive, when many nations and great kings, shall use him as a slave.
7 Todas as nações serão dominadas por ele, pelo seu filho e pelo seu neto, até chegar a hora em que a própria nação dele vai cair. Então a Babilônia será dominada por muitas nações e por poderosos reis.
8 And it shall come to pass that, the nation or kingdom which will not serve him, even Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,with sword and with famine, and with pestilence, will I bring punishment upon that nation, Declareth Yahweh, until I have consumed them by his hand.
8 — Mas, se alguma nação ou reino não quiser servir ao rei da Babilônia, nem obedecer ao seu governo, então eu a castigarei com guerra, fome e doença. E no fim deixarei que Nabucodonosor acabe com aquela nação. Sou eu, o Senhor , quem está falando.
9 Ye, therefore do not ye hearken unto your prophets, nor unto your diviners, nor unto your dreams, nor unto your users of hidden arts nor unto your mutterers of incantations,in that, they, are speaking unto you saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon;
9 Não deem atenção aos seus profetas nem a qualquer um que diga que pode adivinhar o futuro, seja por sonhos, por invocação dos espíritos dos mortos ou por feitiçaria. Todos eles dizem que vocês não devem se entregar ao rei da Babilônia.
10 for falsehood, are they prophesying unto you, that ye may be far removed from off your own soil, and I drive you out, and ye be destroyed
10 Eles os estão enganando e farão com que vocês sejam expulsos da sua pátria, levados para longe e destruídos.
11 But the nation that shall bring its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will let them remain in quietness upon their own soil, Declareth Yahweh, and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
11 Mas a nação que obedecer ao governo do rei da Babilônia e o servir, eu deixarei que fique na sua própria terra, para cultivá-la e morar nela. Eu, o Senhor , falei.
12 Also unto Zedekiah king of Judah, spake I, according to all these words saying,-Bring your necks into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people and live!
12 Eu disse a mesma coisa ao rei Zedequias, de Judá: — Entregue-se ao rei da Babilônia. Sirva a ele e ao seu povo, e o senhor viverá.
13 Wherefore, should ye die, thou, and thy people, by sword, by famine, and by pestilence,as Yahweh hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
13 Por que é que o senhor e o seu povo haveriam de morrer na guerra, ou de fome, ou de doença? Pois é isso que o Senhor Deus disse que acontecerá com qualquer nação que não servir ao rei da Babilônia.
14 Do not, then hearken unto the words of the prophets who are speaking unto you, sayingYe shall not serve the king of Babylon,for falsehood, are they prophesying unto you.
14 Não deem atenção aos profetas que dizem que vocês não devem servir ao rei da Babilônia. Eles estão enganando vocês.
15 For I have not sent them, Declareth Yahweh, but they are prophesying in my name, falsely,to the end I may drive yon out and ye be destroyed, ye and the prophets who are prophesying unto you.
15 O Senhor Deus mesmo disse que não enviou esses profetas e que eles estão mentindo em nome dele. O resultado será este: ele expulsará vocês, e vocês e os profetas que estão contando essas mentiras morrerão.
16 Also unto the priests, and unto all this people, spake I, saying, Thus! saith Yahweh, Do not hearken unto the words of your prophets, who are prophesying unto you saying, Lo! the vessels of the house of Yahweh, are to be brought back out of Babylon now, quickly; for falsehood, are they prophesying unto you.
16 Então eu contei aos sacerdotes e ao povo que o Senhor Deus tinha dito o seguinte: — Não deem atenção aos profetas que dizem que logo os tesouros do Templo serão trazidos de volta da Babilônia. É mentira!
17 Do not hearken unto them, serve the king of Babylon land live! wherefore, should this city become a desolation?
17 Não os escutem! Sirvam ao rei da Babilônia e assim vocês viverão! Por que fazer com que esta cidade vire um montão de ruínas?
18 But, if prophets, they are, and if the word of Yahweh is with them, let them intercede, I pray you, with Yahweh of hosts, that the vessels which are left remaining in the house of Yahweh and the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem, come not into Babylon.
18 Se eles são realmente profetas e se têm a minha mensagem, então peçam a mim, o Senhor Todo-Poderoso, que não permita que os tesouros que foram deixados no Templo e no palácio real de Jerusalém sejam levados para a Babilônia.
19 For Thus, saith Yahweh of hostsConcerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the stands,and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city

20 which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not when he carried away captive Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon,with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem,
20 — ausente —
21 YeaThus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel Concerning the vessels that are left in thee house of Yahweh and the house of the king of Judah, and Jerusalem,
21 — Prestem atenção no que eu, o Senhor Todo-Poderoso, o Deus de Israel, estou dizendo a respeito dos tesouros que foram deixados no Templo e no palácio real de Jerusalém.
22 Into Babylon, shall they be taken And there, shall they remain, Until the day that I visit them, Declareth Yahweh, When I will bring them up, and restore them unto this place.
22 Esses tesouros serão levados para a Babilônia e ficarão ali até que eu volte a pensar neles. Então eu os trarei de volta e os devolverei a este lugar. Eu, o Senhor , falei.
