Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs NVT
1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
1 Recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
2 So of man Set thy face against Gog, of the land of the Magog, Princes of Rash Meshech and Tubal,- And prophesy concerning him,
2 “Filho do homem, volte o rosto para Gogue, da terra de Magogue, príncipe que governa as nações de Meseque e Tubal, e profetize contra ele.
3 and thou shalt say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against thee O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
3 Transmita-lhe esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: Gogue, príncipe de Meseque e Tubal, sou seu inimigo.
4 Therefore I will turn thee about, and will put hooks in thy jaws,and bring thee forth and all thine army. Horses and horsemen Clothed with gorgeous attire, all of them, A mighty gathered host With shield and buckler handling swords tall of them:
4 Eu o farei voltar e colocarei argolas em seu queixo para levá-lo junto com todo o seu exército: seus cavalos e condutores de carros de guerra vestidos com sua armadura completa e uma grande multidão armada com escudos e espadas.
5 Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them, All of them, with shield and helmet;
5 A Pérsia, a Etiópia e a Líbia, com todas as suas armas, o acompanharão.
6 Gomer and all her hordes, The house of Togarmah the remote men of the North and all his hordes, Many peoples with thee.
6 Gômer e todos os seus exércitos também se unirão a você, bem como os exércitos de Bete-Togarma, do extremo norte, e muitos outros.
7 Be ready, and show thyself ready, Thou and all thy gathered host who have gathered themselves unto thee, And become thou for me a guard.
7 “Prepare-se; esteja pronto! Mantenha todos os exércitos ao seu redor de prontidão e assuma o comando deles.
8 After many days, shalt thou muster thy forces, In the after part of the years, shalt thou enter Into the land of the remnant brought back froth the sword. Gathered from among many peoples, Upon the mountains of Israel which have been waste continually, But the same! from among the peoples, hath been brought forth, And they shall dwell in security, all of them.
8 Daqui a muito tempo, você será convocado para entrar em ação. No futuro distante, você virá de repente sobre a terra de Israel, que viverá confiante depois de ter se recuperado da guerra e depois que seu povo tiver regressado de muitas terras para os montes de Israel.
9 Then shalt thou come up, Like a storm, shalt thou enter, Like a cloud covering the land, shalt thou be, Thou and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.
9 Você e todos os seus aliados, um exército imenso e assustador, virão sobre Israel como uma tempestade e cobrirão a terra como uma nuvem.
10 Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, So shall it be in that day, that thoughts will come p on thy heart.- And thou wt devise a wicked device;
10 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Naquele dia, maus pensamentos lhe virão à mente e você tramará um plano perverso.
11 and wilt say I will go up over a land of hamlets, I will enter among them who are at rest dwelling securely, All of them, dwelling without a wall, Who bars and doors, have none;
11 Dirá: ‘Israel é uma terra desprotegida, cheia de povoados sem muros, sem portões e sem trancas. Marcharei contra ela e acabarei com esse povo que vive tão confiante.
12 To capture spoil. And take prey,- To bring back thy hand over desolate places at length inhabited And against a people gathered from among the nations, Getting herds and substance Dwelling upon the navel of the earth.
12 Irei às cidades antes desoladas, mas que agora estão cheias de gente que voltou do exílio em muitas nações. Tomarei grande quantidade de despojo, pois agora seus habitantes têm muito gado e outros bens. Pensam que o mundo gira em torno deles!’.
13 Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all her young lions, will say to thee, To capture spoil, art thou coming? And to take prey, hast thou called together thy gathered host? To carry off silver and gold To take away herds and substance, To capture great spoil?
13 Contudo, Sabá, Dedã e os comerciantes de Társis, com todos os seus jovens guerreiros, perguntarão: ‘Você pensa mesmo que os grandes exércitos que reuniu podem tomar a prata e o ouro deles? Acham que podem levar seus rebanhos, apoderar-se de seus bens e tomar despojos?’.
14 Therefore prophesy, Son of man, and thou shalt say to Gog. Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Shall it not be in that day, because my people Israel are dwelling securely:, that thou wt rouse thyself?
14 “Portanto, filho do homem, profetize contra Gogue. Transmita-lhe esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: Quando meu povo estiver vivendo confiante na terra dele, então você despertará.
15 Therefore wilt thou come out of thy place. Out of the remote parts of the North, Thou and many peoples with thee,Riding on horses all of them, A mighty gathered host. Yea a great army;
15 Virá de sua terra no extremo norte com sua grande cavalaria e seu exército poderoso,
16 Therefore wilt thou come up, against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land, In the afterpart of the days, shall it be. that I will suffer thee to enter upon my land, To the end the nations may know me, when I hallow myself in thee before their eyes O Gog!
16 atacará meu povo, Israel, e cobrirá a terra como uma nuvem. Naquele dia, trarei você, Gogue, contra minha terra à vista de todos e mostrarei minha santidade por meio de tudo que lhe acontecer. Então todas as nações me conhecerão.
17 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Art thou, he of whom I spake in days aforetime by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who kept on prophesying in those days for years,That thou shouldest be suffered to come against them?
17 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Acaso você é aquele de quem falei muito tempo atrás, quando anunciei por meio de meus servos, os profetas de Israel, que, no futuro, o traria contra meu povo?
18 So then shall it come to pass in that day, In the day when Gog entereth upon the soil of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, That mine indignation shall come up into my nostrils;
18 Mas assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Quando Gogue invadir a terra de Israel, minha fúria transbordará!
19 Yea, in my jealousy, in the fire of mine outburst, have I spoken,- Surely in that day, shall there be a great trembling upon the so of Israel:
19 Pois, em meu zelo e em minha ira ardente, sacudirei a terra de Israel violentamente naquele dia.
20 Then shall tremble before me The fishes of the sea, and The bird of the heavens and The wild beast of the field, and Every creeping thing that creepeth on the ground, and All the men we are on the face of the ground, and The mountains is hall be torn asunder and The steep places I shall sink down I, and Every wall to the earth, shall be thrown.
20 Todos os seres vivos, os peixes do mar, as aves do céu, os animais do campo, os animais que rastejam pelo chão, e todas as pessoas da terra, tremerão em minha presença. Montes serão derrubados, despenhadeiros cairão e muros desabarão.
21 Then will I call against him, every terror, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, the sword of every man against his brother, shall be;
21 Convocarei a espada contra você em todas as colinas de Israel, diz o S enhor Soberano, e seus homens voltarão as espadas uns contra os outros.
22 Then will I contend with him by pestilence and by blood,- And an overflowing downpour and ha- stones fire and brimstone, will I rain Upon him, and Upon his hordes, and Upon the many peoples who are with him.
22 Castigarei você e seus exércitos com doença e derramamento de sangue; enviarei chuvas torrenciais, granizo, fogo e enxofre!
23 So will I Magnify myself and Hallow myself, and Make myself known. Before the eye of many nations,And they shall know that I, am Yahweh.
23 Com isso mostrarei minha grandeza e santidade e me farei conhecido às nações do mundo. Então saberão que eu sou o S enhor .”
